the sailor suited guardian of love and justice

She had until tomorrow so she was sure she’d come up with something sooner or later. A good meal that would involve the items Usagi was listing off from within the bags. She wasn’t the greatest chef in the world but she could cook something up if she needed to—they’d both taken turns with making meals for years now.

"Okonomiyaki sounds good," she mused softly. "I’m going to ask Makoto if she can bake a cake and bring it over tomorrow." Or Rei could go get it herself. She narrowed her eyes slightly at her friend before tightening her hold on her bag. "Yeah, they’re anchovies. Why are you asking? Don’t eat them!"

She sniffed, closing the bag hurriedly, slightly quickening her pace, "Who says I want to eat your anchovies?" No that as a lie--Usagi really really wanted those anchovies, she was a growing, young girl! Food was essential.

Her eyes grew wide as she whipped her head around to face Rei, stepping closer and whispering dramatically, "Okonomiyaki castle."

Whether or not she had a fever, Ami certainly -felt- hot after that.  The feel of Rei's hand against her was...  Damn it, she was behaving like some lovestruck schoolgirl.

Which, a snide part of her brain noted, she -was-.

Ami glanced at Usagi, and at least -that- took her mind off of the beautiful young woman in front of her for a little - she'd never admit it, but she found Usagi's antics rather amusing.

Usagi was how Ami and Rei had first met, wasn't she...

Crap.  This wasn't working.

The scene before her touched her heart and she cooed, trying to be discrete and failing if the looks both Ami and Rei shot her told her anything.
