I see a lot of posts saying bisexuality has only recently been âredefinedâ to include nonbinary folk, so I want to be clear:
The bi community has been inclusive of trans-including nonbinary-people for decades.Â
Bi organizations have defined bisexuality as attraction to more than one gender or attraction to the same and other genders since at least the 90s, well before mainstream society (and many parts of cis gay society) began to even consider that trans people might be anything other than, at best, a punchline.
From the Bisexual Manifesto, published in 1990 in the bi magazine Anything That Moves:
âBisexuality is a whole, fluid identity. Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or duogamous in nature: that we have âtwoâ sides or that we must be involved simultaneously with both genders to be fulfilled human beings. In fact, donât assume that there are only two genders.âÂ
Bisexuality has been inclusive of nonbinary people for decades.
The idea that it hasnât been is a myth, created by a misinformation campaign starting in the late 2000s. We were constantly harassed for our âtransphobicâ sexuality, online and off. This was even encouraged by major âLGBTQâ orgs. It lead to many bi activists quitting and uncountable suicide attempts within the community. An already largely-closeted community was constantly silenced, supposedly in the name of âtrans inclusionâ, by people, usually cis, who just wanted an excuse to hate us and seem âprogressiveâ.
The myth also comes from the fact so-called âLGBTQâ orgs, who were and are mostly run by cis gay and straight folk, have only recently begun to update their definitions. Until recently, these orgs constantly excluded bi and trans folk, in name and in deed, often actively encouraging discrimination.Â
But, since these orgs are now âLGBTQâ and, in fairness, have started to include bi and trans folk more, they are assumed to have always been âthe voice of the LGBTQ communityâ. This is not the case. They ignored bi activists for years and even now often just tokenize us.
tl;dr Bisexuals have been inclusive of nonbinary people for decades, and many of us are nonbinary. Itâs just that now, more people are listening to us.Â

(ETA: for those who might have been curious, I come down hard in the âlawful plotterâ square, since my professional-writing habits became fully formed while I was doing animation work in the late 70s / early 80s, and at that point every piece of film work required an outline before it could be commissioned at the studio. I was already an outliner to begin with, so the habit set in hard and continues to this day [as it still needs to have done for film work. No one will pay you until they know for sure what youâre going to write. And God help you if you venture off-piste, as it were, when your producerâs co-production partners are expecting what appeared in the outline that made them put millions of bucks down on the table in the first place].))

I got really excited about potentially seeing the Slicer of Tapir Weir Isle scene in The Adventure Zone graphic novel one dayâassuming we get that farâwhen I had the bitter revelation that âTapir Weir Isleâ is just âTupperware Aisleâ
How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, itâs only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. âThe Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Dungeons and Dragons: A new generation.
IâM SO PROUD OF THEM OMFG :â) đ
So you know this scene...
I always found it a bit odd. Hilarious, but it raised too many questions. When did Steve make these? Why did Steve make these? How did he manage to be so cheesy and overly sincere knowing how much crap he would get from the other Avengers for it?
Well, today my sister told me her headcanon. Picture the scene. Steve leans on the back of a chair, as above. Peter immediately launches into âSo, you got detentionâŚâ. Cap blinks. Peter awkwardly tries to explain. It turns out Cap has no idea what videos he means, and neither do any of the other Avengers.
So they get in touch with the company who made them, and they swear blind that it was really the real Captain America, and that it all his idea. That he came in and said how much he wanted to help the youth of today. And the Avengers all lose it because someone is running around doing an unbelievably good impression of Captain America, they could have destroyed his reputation, they could have infiltrated the Avengers; and instead all they are apparently using it for is to make silly, embarrassing videos.
Itâs completely baffling. Who could possibly be behind it all?
A mystery.
This is the only headcanon I will accept

There is nothing quite like the moment when you realize you are reading your new favorite fanfic.
Or the moment when youâve been giving a particular fic the side-eye for a while but you finally decide to give it a readâŚand itâs transcendentally good.
Or the moment when you read something so fantastic that you have to immediately abandon everything else you have been doing with your life so you can go and read literally every word the writer has ever written.
Or the moment when your favorite fic writer writes something in a different fandom that is so good you have to go out and watch/read the source material and â whoops â you suddenly have a new fandom.
What itâs like to be slut-shamed when buying birth control
Even when pharmacists do let people access contraception, whether emergency contraception or condoms or prescription birth control pills, the process isnât always free of judgment. In a series of recent online discussions, people across the country have begun to share stories of the stigma theyâve experienced. As many have pointed out, this can be especially damaging to teens.
DO YOU SEE THIS? PHARMACY EMPLOYEES IN THE U.S. ARE NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO THIS. THAT GOES FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT AS WELL AS PEOPLE IN WHITE COATS BEHIND THE CAGE.
If an employee in a pharmacy makes a snide comment - Front store workers, pharmacists, or Pharmacy Techs give you shit? Gently (Or not so gently) remind them that the waiver they signed upon being hired legally binds them from commenting on your purchase, as it is a violation of privacy laws. Doing so is grounds for INSTANT termination and hefty fines.
Pharmacy workers (white coats) are legally obligated to ASK if you need an explanation of how medication works and any side effects, any medication conflicts etc. If you decline, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TO MAKE SNIDE REMARKS OR FARTHER COMMENT ON YOUR PURCHASE. FRONT STORE EMPLOYEES CAN NOT AT ALL COMMENT IN ANY WAY, IN ANY STORE WITH A PHARMACY IN IT.
Know your rights. If this shit happens? Call them the fuck out and ask to speak to a manager. Get worked up. Cause a scene. Threaten a Lawsuit. If you see this happening to someone else, and they seem to be struggling, speak up for them.Â
As a Pharmacy worker, you bet your ass Iâll protect you and your privacy. ITâS MY JOB.
REBLOG THIS
I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR BLOG IS
THIS IS SOMETHING EVERYONE SHOULD SEE
Itâs sad that I didnât know these laws, but reblogging for info.
Did we, though?

GOFUNDME: SAVE OUR NAVAJO LANGUAGE
âI never learned my Navajo language and I was never inspired to learn it. Â As I got older, I realized how valuable our language is to the livelihood of our Navajo Nation. â -Dr. Shawna L. Begay
Our Navajo or DinĂŠ language is in danger of becoming extinct.  Help us create and develop the first Navajo-English educational media TV puppet show, âDinĂŠ BĂ NĂĄâĂĄlkid Timeâ which means âThe Navajo Movie Time.â  It will inspire and teach our youth basic language skills using media as a technology tool. Parents, grandparents, children and grandkids can learn to speak Navajo  fluently together within their own homes. Long-time friends and educators, Dr. Shawna L. Begay and Charmaine Jackson have teamed up to create this new TV pilot for an all-ages audience or for anyone who wants to learn the Navajo language.  With your support, itâll be the first educational Navajo and English puppet show that will teach and preserve the Navajo language and culture through digital media.
After several years of extensive research on the Navajo Nation, Dr. Begay recently completed her PhD from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with her doctorate thesis, âDeveloping A Navajo Media Guide: A Community Perspective.â As project director, she quickly realized she was a pioneer on the topic.
âWhen I decided what topic to study I realized there existed very little research in Indigenous educational media, especially with our Navajo people,â stated Dr. Begay. Â âAs Navajo people, we have our own learning objectives and Navajo way of knowing is completely different for Euro-Western schooling. Â I decided that I had to research and develop our own curriculum guide that is meant to teach Navajo through media.â Dr. Begay and Jackson, co-writers of the show, developed the first 3-puppet characters and plan for many more. The pilot features Nanabah-a young Navajo girl, GĂĄh (Rabbit) and DlÇŤĚÇŤĚ (Prairie Dog) who will go on endless adventures learning about language, gardening, the environment and the importance of family values. Nanabah is fluent in Navajo and likes to teach children about life on the reservation with her animal friends and special guests. Â Children who want to learn Navajo will also be an important part of the show by interacting with Nanabah, her friends and storyline. Dr. Begayâs research concluded there exists very little research in the area of Indigenous educational media. Currently media is a very powerful tool that can be used to teach. She is cognizant of the digital age we live in and the opportunities to utilize media to revitalize the Navajo language. Â âStar Wars and Finding Nemo,â dubbed in Navajo, was a great place to start and it has garnered national exposure of our language. However, we need a show based on our own Navajo learning principals our ancestors set out for us to learn and live by. I donât think a non-Navajo, non-Native or non-Indigenous person can do that for us, nor should they. Â We, as Navajo, need to produce this show ourselves, if we are to be truly sovereign,â added Dr. Begay. Both educators, Dr. Begay and Jackson, of Naalkid Productions have been talking about this educational language project for about the past four years and still have a long way to go to finance their dream. âWith the support of Navajo TV Anchor Colton Shone, our team of Navajo artists, filmmakers, family and friends, this video pilot is a huge step forward,â said Jackson. Â âOur journey has just begun and the big next step is finding financial support to create a whole new puppet TV series.â We aim to raise $50,000 with this project which will allow us to continue with pre-production and production aspects of making this digital media project become a reality. Â We need your help to save our language by teaching Navajo to our future generations. Pre-Production: -Script writing for the pilot show -Puppet Development/Creation -Casting for puppeteers and other talent that will be on screen -Hiring of all key cast and crew Production: -Locations and permits -Rental of Studio space -Equipment: cameras, sound, lights, etc. -Cast and Crew budget
Despite all the notes on this post, theyâre still at $13,155 of their $50,000 goal.Â
Please keeping sharing and donate if you can!Â
This is the truest thing
