I always thought Shasha's gaze was flat, her smile superficial, and I thought it was Milk not being used to being in that kind of role. How WRONG I was, holy fuck, Milk was killing it this ENTIRE time.

Of course Shasha would be all empty smiles and distant eyes, it's what was drilled into her - smile, appease.

In a professional aspect, her being 'difficult' to work with is the only grasp at power she can make in a situation where she feels completely powerless and out of control.

We saw a fuck girl playing with Gorya's feelings when really we were looking at a deeply scarred woman who has never experienced affection that is not fleeting or transactional. Someone who has been told time and time again that her worth is based on what she can do for others, how she can satisfy them in any context.

I feel like topics like this, where you have a character who is not completely helpless in their trauma, but instead builds their walls up and becomes someone bordering arrogance in their simulated self assurance, are just not explored in Thai GL.

Maybe I haven't watched enough GLs (do recommend if there are ones with those themes that I'm missing), but in those that I have watched, it's mostly a perfect victim being a victim until they get their justice, whatever that may be.

Rarely do they explore trauma in layers and it's something that benefits the storyline so so much.

That was the gayest shit I have ever seen in my entire life. Like don't even get me started.

And the CHARACTER DESIGN? So. Many. Women. Hot evil women, hot morally grey women. Hot big BUFF women. Fuck me, that felt like straight up fanservice for me specifically.
