          “ Well if you don’t listen then you should manage your expectations better. I never knew you to be so needy Sukuna-sama ”

     It comes out before they can stop themselves, and they bite their tongue fairly quickly. Common sense was usually their forte, but sometimes he was just a little too annoying and ungrateful. They quickly dart over to check the food, nodding before using a ladle to scoop some out. 

“ It should be done now Sukuna-sama ”

             THEIR CHOICE of words could have been better. The smile on the King of Curses’ face quickly disappears when the quick outburst comes and goes. Following after them closer and looming right behind them. 

          They would call them a total MORON if it wouldn’t get them killed. 

     Instead they simply hand over the snacks to him for now, returning their attention to the food once more. After checking a pot or two they vanish for a moment to grab a massive plate, something for someone with Sukuna’s appetite. 

“ You would not be satisfied then either. Because it would come out terrible. Then it would somehow be my fault - “ They pause, catching themselves before they get too snippy with Sukuna. “ I always have stock prepared Sukuna-sama. Have I not told you where to go for it? ”

             HE STARTS to eat the snacks contently and then watch how her small figure moves about the kitchen and prepares everything to her satisfaction. He takes a bite out of his food, cheek full still when she speaks and nods. 

“Very true. You always manage to ruin it.” 

He smirks and then pauses at the follow up remark. 

“You probably did but I wasn’t listening. Refresh my memory.” 

“oh! scary!– don’t cut yourself on that edge there, mister edgelord.”

“High praise coming from someone with the titles you bear.” 

Saint drawled in response, finally turning to face him squarely. There was a reason behind the disparity he’d noted, of course. Their existences were rooted in similar origins after all, and they had in common the meagre vestiges of humanity that lingered with the both of them still. 

But to dwell amongst curses was a grievance all on its own. Indeed, the majority of their kind strayed far from coherency. 

“It doesn’t make for very good conversation when all your company has to offer is gibberish, does it?”

“I don’t always JUST bark orders, at least for now that is.” 

             AS MORE of her face is presented he can examine the cursed energy surrounding her and the magnitude of power she posses. Although with this he’s already calculated the ways to kill her in case he needs to. A swift cut in the right place should do it, but that wasn’t the main point of this. He’s still curious as to what she can actually do beyond his current observations. 

            what a true   honor,   to be  allowed   in his domain.   lashes flutter close,   smile   reaching her lips as the smell of   heavy iron   hits her nostrils.   how she   longed   to examine the remains of those he had   slain,   collected upon his   throne.

“   to   prove    my   worth.   “

            dainty hands   reach inside of her   coat pocket,   revealing   grave wax.    

“   i believe   this   belongs to you,    ryomen sukuna   …   “

“   no.   “

            he rips   another piece,   sticks out his tongue   &   eats the sweet treat   tauntingly.   if the other   wanted t  o try the other flavors,   he was going to have to play   nice.

“   try again.   “

“. . .” 

“ Cooking takes time Sukuna-sama. Otherwise it will taste undercooked “ They say, but sigh and don’t do anything to prevent Sukuna from swiping food. They know better. Instead they walk away to locate some previous snacks they had made before and stored for later before bringing it to Sukuna. 

“ Will this suffice for now? ”

“Then get better at cooking and do it at a higher temperature so it cooks faster. It makes absolute total logical sense.” 

             HIS COMMENTS are made purposely to annoy them; he finds humor in their small angry fits. When they return with snacks however he looks much more pleased and takes them quickly. Eating away at them as he leans against a counter.
