I think Marinette's just realized that while she's told Alya pretty much everything that she isn't actively keeping secret from her, she doesn't actually know that much about her best friend. She thought that Alya'd told her everything about herself, but she was very wrong. Which I think has something to do with how often Alya acts as her support. She hasn't really realized that it hasn't gone both ways as much.
