wip… Trying to figure out how to draw these two for the first time

I wrote a fanfic a while ago, and I decided to make a cover for it as well, so this is it.

There’s a saying that whenever someone thinks of the departed, flowers fall from heaven upon them.

So I thought it would be beautiful if, instead of flowers, stars fell upon Javert after he died whenever Valjean thought about his beloved Javert... (Green is Valjean’s eye colour)

Every frickin day the way i imagine javert changes like one day hes a twinkish old man like from some adaptions ( 78 and 98 ones😭) and one day hes the book accurate well-builted ugly face cop
