Was in the middle of leaving a fic comment and then was planning to download a fic to put on my Kindle when a giant bolt of lightning struck somewhere very close to the house and we lost power.

Power’s still out and according to the outage map it’s only like half the block. I went to pick up our CSA box and a house two houses away had its lights on.

I think it finally came back sometime between 8:30 and 9. We were at dinner with friends and one of the kids looked at the outage map around 8:15 and it was still out, but when we got home a little after 9 it was back.

You are allowed to find things hot in theory while also never wanting to actually do them in real life btw.
