Not seeing many people talk about this on Tumblr, so gonna spread the word myself: Webtoon is going to start using AI for translations and an AI chat bot with comic characters. If you're against this you should delete your account, and if you are publishing on the website, you should consider moving to other alternatives and especially having your own website to host your comic.
Also needless to say that Webtoon can absolutely afford to hire translators, this is just yet another way to not pay the people who are making the company behind Webtoon absurdly rich.
And for the people who might see this as a good decision:

I feel REALLY bad for the creators who are stuck in contracts right now that even if they break it won't be able to do that comio for at least 3 years… Highly suggest trying to find the social media of creators you like. Also if you are someone considering getting into webcomics for the first time I highly recommend ComicFury!

The term "book of the dead" doesnt really give you perspective to how big a lot of Egyptian funerary texts are.
Imhoteps book of the Dead is 64 feet long.
Okay, but a lot of books would be that long if you laid the pages out
the average printed page is 6 inches wide. so if a book is 128 pages, its 64 ft long. I dont think I own a book with fewer than 128 pages.

Men’s Journal (Aug. 12, 2026): And now you have your Director’s Cut [of I Want to Believe] out this week. I watched both versions of the movie to prepare to speak with you, and it seems that, with this release, you’ve made the movie a bit more accessible to non–X-Files fans. The Director’s Cut removes callbacks to Samantha, William, and even the two kisses between Scully and Mulder. Can you talk a bit about your decision to pull those bits out of the film, specifically?
Chris Carter: I always felt the movie was, the weight in the stories was kind of wrong. I set out to tell a really scary X-Files story, and when I had to cut it back for reasons beyond my control- for the executives who wanted a PG-13 movie and the MPAA made us cut it back even farther. It became a Mulder-Scully relationship story that happened to have a scary element in it. Also, what I couldn’t have foreseen is that there would be two X-Files reboots, Seasons 10 and 11, so people got their fill of Mulder and Scully. I felt, going back to this movie, I wanted to take some of that out because we had gotten a fill just recently, and I wanted to make it the scary standalone story that I intended to make.
Men’s Journal: Any message to fans upset you’ve robbed them of some MSR, Mulder-Scully Romance, moments?
Chris Carter: Frank Spotnitz told me people are gonna miss that last kiss. But are they?
Sigh.
I mean, I kind of love this, because you have to hand it to Mulder and Scully: their romance happened, in canon, despite the best efforts of their poor creator.
To use an old-school X-Phile term, Chris Carter just really, *really*, has been a staunch NoRomo all along, but Mulder and Scully are more stubborn than he is.
It's actually kind of perfect for them. Like, there really *is* a powerful man in the shadows using mysterious forces to keep them apart, but somehow he's never actually managed to do it. 😂

one of the best pieces of advice I've ever heard (for myself, at least) is that if you're in a terrible mood and NOTHING is helping, then start doing the chores/responsibilities/job stuff/etc that you've been putting off. Will it put you in an even worse mood temporarily? Probably, but you're already pissed off, so you might as well double up on it at that point 😭 there's no loss. It's not like finally getting around to cleaning the house and scheduling appointments is going to ruin the good day that you aren't currently having to begin with 💀 And then, when the bad mood passes, you'll have gotten shit done and you'll feel a lot better later, even if in the moment you're having The Worst Time Ever about it.
