"This happens to you every day?"
Andendryn was silent as the guards rushed past, finally in peace when it looked like the coast was clear.
āYes. Yes it does.ā
āAny other heists? I dunno if itās safe to confide in-ā He stopped and glanced at the smaller Khajiit. āYouāre thinking of tagging along.. thatāll be a problem.ā He shifted.
āI can tell from the look on your face that youāre eager to feel the rush of thievery. At this rate, I wouldnāt care. But this isnāt some night-time store robbery. Iām talkinā stealing from the Jarlās bedside. Youād need skill.ā
Mānari held her breath with wide-eyed anticipation as her words registered in the merās mind - but let it out and seemed to bite her tongue as he mentioned that it was a problem.Ā She would have begged for the opportunity, but then he mentioned that he was stealing from the Jarl, and the Khajiit paused in consideration.
āThat is risky,ā she murmured in awe, shifting in place to stifle her excitement.Ā āYou might be right. I used to steal food and jewellery and such a lot when I hung around in Elsweyr,ā the kitten confessed, scratching her cheek.Ā āBut...that was a while ago, and this is a lot different.ā
Windy Helmet [Mānari/Joātsabhira]
The Khajiit scowled at the map in her hands, as if it were the parchmentās fault that she had somehow doubled back to the Windy Helmet despite leaving it not too long ago. A frustrated huffĀ left her nose before she gently folded up the guide, placing it in a small knapsack she had obtainedĀ not so long ago.
Oh well. She was here, and Mānari may as well make the most of it -- although the few coins she had left in her pouch made a groan of dismay rise up from her throat. The Khajiit guessed that she had maybe oneĀ meadās worth of Septims in there, and that was it.
A drink was a drink, she supposed. Mānari entered the tavern and bought a tankard of the booze before sitting at a table near the door, attempting to make the drink last by pulling out her map once more and examining it to see just where it was she went wrong - occasionally looking up at the doorway whenever someone entered, if only to satiate her curiosity.Ā
"This happens to you every day?"
Andendryn was silent as the guards rushed past, finally in peace when it looked like the coast was clear.
āYes. Yes it does.ā
āIām not exactly friends with them.ā He whispered and pulled out a bag of coin from inside his cloak.
āI stole something from the Black-Briarās manor. Surprisingly, they hired more goons to protect the home than I remember.ā
He fished around inside the bag and pulled out five septims, and offered it to her.
āYou can have some if you agree to keep quiet.ā
Her mouth opened and her eyes widened in excitement at the tale - people here live such interesting lives compared to herās! Though, she wasnāt quite sure she could pull off a theft as well as she used to.Ā
The glint of shiny septims caught her gaze, and she glanced from them to the thief before taking the coins and placing them into her own small pouch.Ā āI mean, I wasnāt going to say anything anyway,ā she assured the other, tilting her head.Ā āWhat people do in this land of snow isnāt any of my business, you know?ā
A quiet moment of consideration, chewing a claw as she ponders. Feeling a bit mischievous, and the spark of excitement rekindling memories of running through the bushes alongside her partner in crime, a small grin creeps onto her face.Ā
āAre you doing any other heists?ā
Stranded Ashore - Mānari/Mojādul/Ri
The cathay-rahtās brow rose.
āIs this one tāunderstand that youāve seen other ships then?Ā āTis hard tāget from one end of Tamriel tāthe other without touching Cyrodiil nor the sea. He confesses that he has not seen much of the eastern seas.ā The Nord next to him was scowling at the larger Khajiitās tail, swishing back and forth near the floor as it was, but Moj didnāt seem to notice. He smiled, gaze flicking down Mānariās long hair with appreciation when it seemed she was occupied with other matters, his fingers playing a little with the cork next to his own mostly-untouched bottle.
āMm. Mojādul may have his work cut out for him. If this one has seen larger ships, his will seem underwhelming at best.ā
She hadnāt thought of that.Ā
How else would she have gotten to Skyrim from Elsweyr? Stupid, stupid, stupid. He knows for certain Iām lying now.Ā Despite this, Mānari kept a pleasant smile on her face and, with a small twitch of her tail, took another sip of her mead - perking up her ears in response to his worry of seeming underwhelming.
āNo, no,ā The kitten re-assured the bigger Khajiit, taking a moment to wipe her mouth of the drink.Ā āI only traveled on a tiny little merchant boat! Iām pretty sure just about anythingĀ is bigger than the one I arrived in. Iām sure your ship is really big,ā she added the last part with a small giggle, realizing how silly it sounded.Ā

"This happens to you every day?"
Andendryn was silent as the guards rushed past, finally in peace when it looked like the coast was clear.
āYes. Yes it does.ā
āThat must be fun,ā the kitten remarked in a hushed whisper - not quite bitter enough to be considered entirely sarcastic, but at the same time not with a tone of naivety. She wiped her brow and tapped her claws together, pondering whether or not to pry into the situation.
Unfortunately, nosiness got the better of her, and she spoke up with a quiet āWhat did you do to make them so grumpy?ā
Stranded Ashore - Mānari/Mojādul/Ri
Mojādul smiled, tail curling behind him as the innkeeper pulled out two bottles and pushed them onto the bar, the Khajiit slipping the needed coins onto the bar before gently nudging one of the bottles towards Mānari.
āMmā¦this one thought he had a beautiful name, butĀ ātis like music when you say it. But yes, a smart choice would be tāleave quickly, especially from what Mojādul has seen of Skyrim.ā he purred, popping the cork on his own mead bottle, smelling a strange scent within. He tried a small sip, finding it agreeable, but set the bottle back down on the bar. The cathay-raht hummed a little, claws sliding along the label.
āMay this one ask of where else youāve been? Mojādul admits he has not seen much of the inside of Tamriel. He prefers the ocean and her coasts.ā
Her claws clinked against the glass bottle she received as she fiddled with it in her hands, piercing the cork with her teeth and pulling the drink away from her mouth with her hands in an effort to free the stopper from its prison. At Mojādulās compliment of how she said his name, the kitten managed to release the cork with an audible pop!Ā - but only after nearly falling backwards off of the stool. Honestly, she thought she pronounced it entirelyĀ wrong.
A nervous cough left Mānariās throat and she placed the drink back on the bar, pulling the stopper out of her teeth while thinking of a response to the captainās question. Eventually, the smaller Khajiit wiped her lips with her sleeve and swept her tail against the floor before placing the cork beside the bottle it came from, opening her mouth to speak.Ā
āWell,ā she began, taking a quick sip to wash the taste of...something out of her mouth.Ā āIāve been in Elsweyr and Skyrim - havenāt been anywhere else, my parents are only really comfortable trading in --ā A pause to take another sip, swallowing an odd sensation of anxiety along with the drink.Ā āActually, now that I think about it, weāve been to Cyrodiil as well, but I was very young when I went there. I donāt know if I can remember much, though I doĀ know thatĀ my parents speak highly of the place.ā

Stranded Ashore - Mānari/Mojādul/Ri
āNot at all. This one would not offer if it was. It would be rude of him tāoffer, then rescind such an invitation.ā He finally spared a look to the innkeeper who was giving the two of them (but mostly him) a wary glance. The cathay-rahtās mouth curled into a smile, leaning forward a little on the bar and ears relaxed.
āTwo of whatever she likes.ā he muttered, looking towards Mānari for her input. While she did that, Moj pulled open his coat to reach the hidden pocket inside for the coins needed.
āIs this one in a hurry tābe anywhere, or is this one like Mojādul, and travels often?ā he asked, fingers brushing over a flask before locating the leather pouch that held his gold.
A smile was plastered on her face as he explained that it wasnāt a problem to give her a tour, and even managed to remain despite the realization that the innkeeper was staring at the pair as if they were troublesome. Her ears twitched slightly, and it took her a while to register what Moj had muttered.
Mānari quickly glanced back and forth between the two, mouth opening and closing as she thought about what she wanted to drink. She liked wine, and mead, and probably some other drink she couldnāt remember or pronounce - but what would her acquaintance like?Ā A bite of her lip and the kitten eventually convinced herself that mead would be the rather neutral choice; squeaking out her order before tapping her claws together once more at his question.
āUm, it depends on whatās going on, really,ā she began, furrowing her brow for a moment before continuing.Ā āIf Iām somewhere Iām not welcome, I tend to get out of there fairly quickly.ā A pause, a flick of her tail.Ā āBut otherwise I just take my time and wander around! So...I guess sort of like Mojādul.ā
āShh! Shh!ā
Dust flew back to Mānariās side - sheād been getting water once more from the nearby stream, but the panicked cries drew her back immediately. She fell to her knees at her side, cooing softly and trying to urge her to lay down again.
āItās alright, Mānari, Iām here. Itās alright. Lay down, dear, donāt strain again.ā And donāt panic, was her other thought. She did not need to see another transformation today.Ā āIām getting you some water. Donāt sit up yet, alright? You need to rest a bit longer.ā Her small, gloved hand strayed up to the Khajiitās brow, stroking across it, smoothing back stray locks.Ā
The hiss of boiling water caught her attention - she moved back and made a large cup of tea with the addition of the herbs theyād used earlier before returning to her side, pressing the mug into her hands.Ā āAlright, letās get you sitting up, now. Scooch back and rest against the tree there, if you need to. Slowly, though! Slowly.ā
Only when she was sitting upright, wrapped in her cloak and holding the mug did Dust cease her mothering, backing off to sit nearby. She folded her hands before her, taking a slow, deep inhale of the crisp air.
ā⦠How long have you been a werewolf, dear?ā
A whimper left her throat as she was comforted; heart achingĀ against her chest as if it were trying to burst out of her skin, the kitten forced deep breaths in through her mouth and out through her nose as the lady she was so fond of cooed and spoke in a soft, motherly tone.Ā
Mānari was hushed into a quiet complacence by the time she was up against the trunk of a tree with a mug in her hands and a cloak around her body - but the Khajiit continued to feel her heart beating loudly, and it took a great deal of effort to resist the urge to cover her ears and begĀ for it to stop.Ā
Her gaze snapped to Dust, orange eyes wide with fright and hurt at the question. She doesnāt want anything to do with me anymore, does she? The kitten swallowed spit and began to reply in a hoarse, anxious tone; pausing for thought between each sentence.
āIs...that wh-what itās called?ā A moment of silence, and she continued by adjusting the cloak to reveal the gashes along her left side.Ā āI...I got attacked by a big dog - I think - a-after I got to Skyrim. A man took me in. Cleaned up th-the scratches,āĀ
A whine rumbled its way out of her mouth as the salty sting of tears began to stream down her fur.Ā āI-I woke up one m-morning a-and he was...ā Mānari grimaced as her body shuddered, trying to override the urge to break down in a bawl.Ā āI-Iām so sorry,ā she hissed through her teeth, trying to rub the water out of her eyes.

Though she was originally going to turn and head up the stairs, MaāJaara paused and smiled when Mānari mentions her interest in helping. It certainly couldnāt hurt! Aara herself wouldnāt have asked for assistance outright, but anyone offering to help was something she cherished.
āI would appreciate it very much if you would do so! I was only thinking of adding some vegetables into a beef broth, but I have not quite settled. What do you tend to like?ā She grows silent, trying to think. āI am sure I can find something to throw together that you would prefer. And of course desert is always in orderā¦are you allergic to anything?ā Aara adds after making a gesture to guide Mānari up the stairs once she was ready.Ā āI have a few things I cannot eat, but I believe I can still prepare them if you would like.ā
The kitten beamed in delight at Maājaaraās acceptance of her offer, ears stood straight up in attention as she listened for possible instructions. Her own voice goes quiet in thought, wondering how to answer the questions thrown her way - before responding with a shrug and a nervous grin.Ā āI canāt really say I know what I like, Iām sorry.āĀ
Taking gentle steps up the staircase just behind her host, she glances at her feet as the older Khajiit continues talking, asking if she was allergic to anything.Ā āOh, I donāt think Iām illergyĀ to anything! Iāve eaten plenty of fruits and crunchy things, and I havenāt ever felt sick afterwards.ā Curious, and hopeful the question isnāt stepping over a boundary, Mānari prods with a, āWhat canāt you eat? If itās, um, not nosy to ask.ā
Stranded Ashore - Mānari/Mojādul/Ri
It was cute, how bad of a liar the Khajiit was. Mojādul was all smiles and soft eyes, relaxed in this inn even with the scowling glances he was getting from the Nord a stool down. His tail curled as he leaned closer, catching more of that scent that wasnātā¦unpleasant, per say. It just seemed odd for a Khajiit to smell like a not-horse. Maybe she owned one? It didnāt matter. He hummed a small laugh through his nose, leaning an elbow on the bar, giving Mānari a little more space for now.
āāTis more than a mere āboatā. A ship. A large one, at that. In fact, that is why Mojādul is here. This oneās ship could not fit down the river, and it is in need of repair. If one is inclined, this one would be willing tāshow.ā Ri would disapprove, but what harm was there in showing a non-sailor his ship? Besides, the shiver of what he thought was anticipation promised more to him than just showing her his ship.
Her eyes occasionally flicked to the Nord two stools away, anxiety beginning to build at the sight of a scowl and general looks of hostility. Her cheeks flushed once more as the tall feline moved just that bit closer before letting out a humming laugh, her own tail brushing the ground in a frantic sweep behind her.Ā
Ears perked up in fascination at the sound of Mojādulās ship, and her expression quickly brightened once more as he offered to fulfill her wishes to see it.Ā āOh, I am incleened!ā Mānari exclaimed, not quite able to pronounce the word as well as the other Khajiit did. Quickly realizing it would be rude to assume she wasnāt being a bother, she added a meekĀ āSo long as itās not a problem,ā before scratching one of her cheeks.Ā
She watched from afar, stalk still as the bear collapsed, as the wolf tried to investigate exactly what had happened to it. Her teeth clenched painfully tight when it roared, inching further up the tree, letting out a little gasp and clinging to the branches above her. Breath held, muscles tensed until the wolf - no, the Khajiit, the one in the wolf - collapsed, and came forth.
Slowly, she descended. Her feet hit the ground with a soft whump before she knelt by the quivering form, placing a hand on her back. A spell, let forth - she was sedated from the dart, but otherwise alright.
Now what?
Theyād have to wait it out. What would she tell the guard, if she were to bring this poor thing to the gates like this? Worse still, what if she turned again? What if she had no control over it? She was given no warning, after all.Ā
Still, she couldnāt accept the idea that Mānari might be dangerous to her.
No. Dust gathered her up in her cloak, able to hoist her weight despite her own small size. Sheād stay with her, keep her warm in that cloak, and wait until she came to her senses.
As for what came next, well.
Sheād just have to see.
She felt...foggy.
Is that the word? Mānari wasnāt sure, but it was a weird sensation nonetheless. She was floating in a void, tired and dreary as sounds echoed around her and touch was numbed, as if her fur was coated in a rubber of sorts. Was she awake, or still stuck in her own body with the wolf in control?Ā
The question was quickly answered - a twitch of her tail and a flick of her fingers meant she had regained some form of awareness now, and the wolf had been...Oh, no.Ā Please no.Ā
Her heart raced as the possibilities ran through her head. She forced herself to sit up, trying her hardest to ignore the sudden onset of nausea that came as a result of moving too quickly. The Khajiit swallowed the bitter acid that rose from the back of her throat as she practically screamed Dustās name in a frantic search for the woman, vision blurred from the panic and the forced awakening.

[Are you afraid of the Lost Cats picking up your trail, or do you think you'll be safe in Skyrim? <:3]
The kitten opened and closed her mouth as her eyes narrowed to tiny pinpricks, her breath becoming raspy and shallow.
āI-I donāt know what youāre talking about,ā she replied, swallowing anxious bile that rose up the back of her throat. Her glance flicked from side to side and then behind her before fixing back on the interviewer.
āW-Whatās a Lost Cat?ā A nervous laugh was forced out of her mouth, and then a grimace flashed across her face.
