Cross-breeding mechsplo with Power Rangers style combiners and giving each team member a specific use/degradation kink based on which particular part of the combined robot's body their mech becomes.
Ok ha ha yeah legs/feet ha ha head ha ha torso WHO IS GETTING SEXUAL ABOUT SPECIFICALLY ONLY THEIR LEFT ARM??
There are a couple of perspectives we can come at this question from:
It's not necessarily getting kinky about being an arm. Use kink is, broadly speaking, a subgenre of objectification kink which explores the intersection of function and form. What is the "purpose" of an arm? What would it mean to be used in the manner of one?
The lesbian hand fetishists would like a word.
The left arm holds the shield, traditionally. This has very clean mapping onto self destructive and submissive kinks- the shield serves and earns honor by being hit.
Can I be honest with yall I don't want to hear SHIT against cishets at pride this year
"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever
Seeing the large-scale patterns in how plant species are distributed across the landscape is nuts because it highlights how we manage land according to Concepts, and create technology for managing land according to Concepts, and we have words for certain types of environments and not others
Like, in my area, out of our plants that grow here, there is a certain group of plants that Exists in Forests, and another group that Exists in Lawns, and another group that Exists in Pastures, and depending on certain factors like how far upland it is and the soil pH, you can get a pretty good sense of what you're going to see and you can find environments like that over and over again, with similar combinations of plants.
And then there are plants that are absolute wildcards, that don't consistently exist anywhere because their habitats are only ever created accidentally. Powerline cuts, abandoned stretches of land, roadsides that are intermittently maintained, patches of land with complicated histories of being used for this and that and the other, disturbed and neglected in various ways.
Like in the eastern USA we have concept "forest" and we have concept "field/pasture" and then there is Land Used By People (mowed by heavy machinery) but probably like 1/2 of our plant biodiversity straight up can't live in forests of the density and lack of disturbance that Eastern forests have, but also can't live in the socially acknowledge categories of "useful" land that we have, so you find them in these random ass places that are like, A Ditch Between A Railroad Track And A Poorly Maintained Public Park or Field Where There Used To Be Horses But Now People Ride ATV's There
Forever I am trying to figure out how to tell people that there aren't, like, places that are "Nature" and places that are "Not Nature," there's just, a range of socially constructed ideas about what kinds of Places exist and machines and constructions built to enforce those criteria.
A lot of the time when I point out that some right-wing policy is proven to not achieve the thing it purports to have as a goal, people rightly point out that the real goal is the negative outcomes that do happen.
Which is correct!
But this is often framed as me approaching the right wing naively by the respondent.
That's not the case at all. I know they're evil. The goal is to demonstrate that they're lying by exposing the way the rhetoric fails to line up with reality.
This has to be ongoing work because someone new has their political awakening every day. Every day, someone needs to learn that the right wing position is wrong on all levels, not just the obvious ones.
there will be people out there who still think the war on drugs (as the absolute first thing that comes to mind) is a legitimate social cause against an antisocial blight on society. if you come out the gate with (the very true statement) that it's actually been a deliberate campaign to target minorities and other undesirable groups to the ruling class, you're going to sound like a clueless conspiracy nut
whereas if you come with a very defensible, statistically supported point of "it doesn't work and has never worked" you can open the door to the follow up question of "why did the government do it in the first place, and (in many cases) why are they still doing it?"
This, exactly.
The play is to:
Demonstrate that the policy doesn't work
Demonstrate that the people enforcing the policy have everything they need to know it doesn't work
Provide the context of what the policy achieves in the absence of its "intended" outcome.
Remind people that the purpose of a system is what it does.
Then, instead of being a non-sequitur claim you're just pulling out of thin air, the conclusion is the most reasonable way to assemble the provided puzzle pieces.
Intended by who? Almost every policy has been supported by a good number of different people.
Just because you think it does not work does not mean that I think you're either correct or honest.
This is just the opposite version of the ultra-right / Elders of Zion argument that the goal of every left wing policy ever is actually to pollute and impurify the white race.

is it worth using the words radical feminism anymore? seem distracting
I am not ceding the concept of abolishing patriarchy through radically altering society to people who think gender-segregated bathrooms are a foundational institution of women's rights! I refuse!
Pretend it says âTERFs are the ones who suckâ Iâm on mobile and itâs past midnight
Can't be stated enough just how badly "oh, but we don't want to recognize trans women as a type of women so we'll tie the theory in knots to avoid that" sabotages any attempt at radical feminism. It immediately results in having to discard bangers like "sex itself is a social construct that reinforces patriarchy" because it implies that insofar as "real woman" is a thing, trans women are part of that category.
Sex is a social construct? Nope, too inclusive of trans women.
Feminism should include women who canât give birth for whatever reason? Canât have that, too inclusive of trans women.
AMAB folks are not inherently stronger/smarter/better in any way? Well we need something to cling to and use to insist trans women are different and dangerous!
Itâs really fucking dire. Iâve seen TERFs insisting that actually the pink tax is good because it harms trans women. Iâve seen TERFs saying the Christian tradwife trend is âmore feministâ than allowing trans women to exist. Iâve seen TERFs saying theyâd rather go through all the worst parts of menopause than let trans women have easy access to estrogen and progesterone. Just relentlessly abysmal stuff.
The only thing âradicalâ about TERFs brand of âradical feminismâ is how radically stupid and self-destructive it is. Iâve heard this touted as reasoning for using the term FARTs instead of TERFs, but, and this is mostly just my personal take, I think weâre in too deep to change the term we refer to them with at this point. TWERF and SWERF are the only ones Iâve seen make any real waves and I figure itâs because theyâre intuitive if you already know what TERF stands for and what theyâre about.
It's actually an incredible case study in theory collapsing in the face of unwillingness to adapt. You hit one sticking point where the theory implies a conclusion that this group doesn't want, and it propagates backwards until they're uprooting foundational ideas because they chose to resolve the contradiction in the exact wrong direction.
tells you how much whoever runs ellipsus cares about people other than their narrow view of "the common people" when their merch store sells a 26⏠tote bag where "the blank product sourced from China or India" and a 35⏠"organic sweatshirt" where "the blank product is sourced from bangladesh". They're shipping in shit made in sweatshops and printing a design on them and then selling for these prices. incredible really. talk about stolen labor
stay cozy in your 35⏠culture war posturing organic sweatshirt made by bangladeshi workers paid for cents. this is how you show you care about artists
pay us 13⏠for a hat with our logo that could have been made in one of these three east asian countries
Personally? I would never deny Hiromu Arakawa her right to a short bratty braided blond character in a kickass red coat
Invent a look this iconic and I think you should get to use it in every series.
It was actually her assistants conspiring lmao
âBecause the truth is, tech doesnât have an image problem. It doesnât have a message problem. It has an intention problem. Whatâs wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasnât successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. Whatâs wrong is that heâs trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product thatâs designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isnât that you havenât told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them.â
â The 40 Most Rage-Inducing Problems in Tech
Look, if the choice is between "[Theoretical framework] inevitably leads to transmisogyny even when it leads to correct observations elsewhere" and "Transmisogyny is a source of bias so strong that even experts in [theoretical framework] would rather be transmisogynist than right" then I'm choosing the latter every time, because I refuse to humor the idea that transmisogyny is anything other than an incorrect position across all viable ways of understanding reality.

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism arenât marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle â¤ď¸âđŠšđŚ
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.
Basically my primary frustration with a lot of mainstream left-ish framings of trans issues is the treatment of trans rights as a concession they're making to be nice, rather than a principled stance grounded in a real, material understanding of the world.
It leads to this attitude of being vaguely embarrassed to support trans people, which crumbles when Right Wing Dipshit Pundit #33145 starts going on about "harsh truths" that a competent advocate could call out for being incorrect.
"You are transphobic" as an argument by itself is a lot weaker than "You are demonstrably, unambiguously wrong about this issue. You have reached an incorrect conclusion despite having all the information needed to be correct, because you'd rather be transphobic than right."
they're still terming random transfems as i type this i see which does make quite a statement doing this today specifically
watched three girls who reblogged its new blog mutual aidpost (made literally 15 minutes ago) already disappear from its notifs. transfems are not included in their pride :/
QUITE the statement to be nuking transfems at the current accelerated pace right at the start of pride month like this, isn't it
The oldest reblog with comment from a blog that still exists is from June 2 2026. This is still happening!
Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as âproblematicâ in class and our professor was like, âThatâs cool, but âproblematicâ doesnât really mean anything. It means that the thing youâre describing has a problem, and in and of itself thatâs not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else itâs not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like youâre trying to say that this is bad, but you donât want to say âbad.â Is that right?â
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the âbadâ thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, âIâm uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.â
Once we stopped calling things âproblematicâ and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, âthatâs racistâ or âthatâs misogynisticâ or âew capitalism grossâ out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, âUhhh... Iâm not sure whatâs so bad?â and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I canât help but think of this professor being like, âGood starting point, now letâs get specific.â I think when we have to commit to saying âthatâs ___â it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever weâre claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes itâs art, and it should be full of problems, because thatâs what art is.
#'this is present in the text' is often a good first step #but those second and third ones (naming it; describing its function) are vital (via @elucubrare)

Everywhere I go I'm reminded how much the desire to punish homelessness and migration and other Undesirablenesses make society markedly worse for everyone
like why is the park locked after 5pm so I can't go and sit under a tree after work? to punish rough sleepers for the terrible crime of being homeless and alive
why do I have to buy a drink, beg for a code and fuck around with an awkward keypad for 5 minutes in order to take a piss? because fuck homeless people
why do I need to provide proof of address and photo ID to do everything? because we had to create a really hostile environment for migrants
why can't you sit anywhere? well because god forbid people sleep when they're pushed out of shelter. can't risk that.
every day governments, councils and businesses make your life worse as a side effect of making vulnerable people's lives WAY worse. if you're ok with that you're a fucking idiot and if you're in favour of it you're a vindictive cunt cause again literally the ONLY payoff for your life getting worse is other people's lives getting worser.
stopppp everyone absolutely needs to see this
So my dad was the assistant music editor on Tarzan, and idk if it was Bring Your Kid to Work Day or something but one day he did just that so there I was, this incredibly small 1st grader, in an absolutely cavernous recording studio with a full orchestra and a giant screen playing the scene they were taping the score for, and my little brain couldn't handle the big music and the big movie happening all at once so I started crying and it was the first time music ever brought me to tears and it was too much to take in so we stepped out of the studio and ran directly into Phil Collins, who looked to me very much like my dad, and in my delicate emotional state I became immediately convinced that my dad had been copied and nobody had told me so I started crying harder, and Phil Collins said something that was probably meant to be calming but it was with a British accent so I thought there was a copy of my dad in every country and I absolutely lost it at the notion that other kids would get to have my dad, and my dad ended up having to carry me back to the car.
So.
Sorry for crying very loudly at you Phil Collins, your work on Tarzan was so moving it triggered my first emotional breakdown.
the only thing that could top that clip is that story
