2 of Cups + 10 of Swords:

Something that was just beginning ends abruptly and completely.

What might've been a lovely night out for our couple reaches a decisively sharp end. Despite their differences, they meet as equals and even have a good time, but just like the story of Cinderella, the clock strikes midnight and the magic is OVER.

The 2 of Cups is about meetings, sometimes romantic and sometimes not. They can be dates, interviews, short visits with a friend, etc. Whatever this is for you though, it did not have or will not have a fairy tale ending. I'm thinking bad dates, a fling being over, a job interview that went nowhere, and appointments canceled.

We're not talking big breakups, being fired, or even death here because we don't see any Major Arcana to point to real commitments or solid parts of your life path. This is something that ruins the day, or maybe the week, but isn't a majorly disruptive thing. At the least it will be inconvenient and at most a waste of time while also kind of sucking pretty bad because of all the lost potential.

I see the pain of loss or possibly also rejection. Somebody or something has left you and you're wallowing a bit. It's not that you're particularly heartbroken as much as you need to come to terms with what this means for you and your future.

There's plenty of people and ready to help you when you're ready to get up and ask. Sometimes the best way to help yourself is to help others, so be on the lookout for any way you can give back to your friends or other supportive people. It will be a welcome distraction and may even set you up for a new financial opportunity.

8 of Cups + 9 of Pentacles:

You're leaving behind that which no longer serves you and looking forward instead to a time of independence and the chance to enjoy a well-earned break.

The Cups are stacked neatly and prettily on the tombs of those who came before and you've realized that, although that's what others may prize, it just isn't for you. You may have even once wanted it just as much as everyone else and others may think you're being ungrateful to walk away from it, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and the yearning has grown too loud to ignore.

This is beautifully paired with the 9 of Pentacles; a card of stability, domestic comforts, independence, and accomplishments.

If you're thinking about careers, this looks like leave one job to either enjoy a long vacation with the money you socked away or to start your own business. A business in luxury services or products may be a good fit. You're clientele should be other people who also appreciate the finer things.

For romance, this is leaving what could be considered a good relationship but you're just incompatible. It's possible they were overly affectionate or needy and it turned you off. The suggestion here is that you should stay single for a while and enjoy the peace and tranquility before jumping back into dating. You could be single for a long time, and you might discover it actually suits you.

The 10 of Pentacles being the last of it's suit is rife with symbolism of family, luxury, abundance, and legacy, many of the things we all seek and find comfort or security in.

This card shows there is abundance to be had now, but also that it's roots are deep and it's branches spread wide and into the future.

If you were looking to start a project in career or business today, make sure to channel that energy and focus on the qualities or methods that make something stand the test of time and to focus more on long-term than quick gains.

For the family-oriented, this card reminds us of where we come from and where we are going. What do we owe our elders and what can we offer the next generation after us? Tradition. Stability. Wisdom. And the best start in life if possible. Find where you can honor your family and give joyfully.

If money or finances are your chief concern, this card is a nice one to quell those worries. The aspect of family and legacy ties nicely into possible inheritence or a project you've been putting a lot of work into for a long while finally paying off.

If your finances are tight these days, don't ignore the possibility of relying on family (found and born) to keep you safe and give you a little of something solid to stand on while you pick yourself back up.

Wheel of Fortune + The World + 3 of Swords (R):

The Wheel of Fortune and The World are powerful together and point to a major change in fortune and that something is finally coming to a complete close for the good.

The Wheel of Fortune is a sign of cycles and shifts in luck. Life is a gamble of sorts and the wheel reminds us to make hay while the sun shines because it won't last forever. Before you know it there will be winter again so it's best to take advantage of any boon Lady Luck throws your way.

The World is the last Major Arcana card in the sequence of Tarot before the cycle starts back over again with The Fool. Paired here with the Wheel of Fortune makes me think you're about to skip the line towards something big for you and it's going to come as a relief, though you may want to keep that feeling to yourself for a time.

It's possible your win could come at the expense of someone else and to be too happy about it outwardly would be risky. Best to save your celebrations for when you're alone afterward.

You've been struggling to keep up with your responsibilities. The energy is there as well as the motivation, but your mind keeps getting in the way. You're not being lazy because you for sure haven't enjoyed the time not working on it.

The block is all mental and has nothing to do with willpower. The trick in this is that the motivation you've been trying to channel has been outwardly focused. It's a common mistake to make here, because it seems to work so well for everyone else. You're motivation is unlocked more by internal factors.

Spend a little time today to think about your goals and check if they're in alignment with your personal values. This can get you over today's hump as well as making future decisions and struggles easier to spot and manage before you slip down into a spiral of self-doubt.

My first impression is there's been a new addition to the family recently and there have been big changes because of it. the traditional sleepless nights are felt but happily ignored. It's the price you pay for being blessed and big positive changes cause ripples throughout your life for good and bad.

Even if there isn't a new bundle of joy, the feeling is the same. There is a blessing in your home and things have changed around it for the better. Allow yourself time to rest as best as you can and don't force things back to normal too quickly. You'll find in the future you learn to value the trials as much as the blessing. The Queen of Cups is a supportive and nurturing person who often puts the needs of others before her own. The Hermit tells us that your way forward now is to turn that loving care inward towards yourself. You must prioritize yourself for a time to grow into your next stage.

Considering where you've been up til now, this will likely feel quite foreign and possibly make you recoil and consider it selfish, but one cannot pour into others from an empty cup. You must seek solace and time alone for it to be refilled and in time when you return to the world, your gifts will be all the more potent for it.

'Tis the season of cookouts and pool parties and somebody is trying to drag you out of your shell a bit to have some fun. They're honest and they mean well, so maybe it won't be as bad as you think, especially if they're going to be there.

Besides, if you take your own transportation, you can leave whenever you want and scuttle back to your home-shell before the sun comes up. Win-win.

The cycle of life isn't known for going in reverse as much as it's know for being slow and consistent. What you hope for is coming, but it's on the slow train and testing your patience.

Beware taking unnecessary risks just to shake things up and instead focus on actions you can take that are in line with your major goals to help this wheel get spinning again.
