Its funny but before no one mentioned that orihime is similar to masaki. not even karin, yuzu or isshin. It was such a retcon, wich kubo pulled out of his ass to make this ship happen.

Interesting question, because I've written various versions of the love confession between these two...

I'm always more inclined towards Byakuya confessing accidentally...

On Sunflowers And Cherry Blossoms, it was implied they both were aware of the other one's feelings but Byakuya didn't want to rush things with speedy confessions... Only to end up accidentally saying "I love you."

On My Dream Has Your Eyes, they have an initial convenience marriage that evolves into actual feelings... And a bet over who confesses first.

On that one, it's not accidental rather impromptu, with Byakuya deciding he doesn't care for the wager anymore.

On To Other Shores, it's a mutual confession after a heartfelt conversation over everything that happened in those 17 months and all the secrets between them.

Byakuya starts saying the "I love you" only for Ichigo to blurt it out almost at the same time...

If I had to only lean on the Manga Canon and not inset any of my headcanons on it, I'd say Byakuya would be very polite and correct about approaching Ichigo, — Although in private manner, to give him the right to say No without external pressure.— to simply tell him that "...If your heart ever feels inclined to want to court me, you have not only my permission, but also my heartfelt wish to be courted by you."

And Ichigo would be internally losing his shit, because "Oh shit! He likes me?"

Had he brought with him the Still Silbern arrowhead since the beginning, I would have accepted he wanted to get real close to Yhwach.

Had he wanted to lead Ichigo to Yhwach to get his friend to stab the parasite with a Zangetsu filled to the brim with Hollow Reiatsu, he would have turned against Yhwach the minute Ichigo got close to them...

Killing Reio didn't help him at all...

Allowing Yhwach to break through Mimihagi also didn't help whatever the fuck his plan was...

Kubo messed Uryū's characterization so fucking hard on the last Arc.

He always repeats his problems in writing. [ too many character,making villians op, lack of emotions]

Sometimes if you read manga you know when the artist doesnt know how to get from Point A to Point B. By kubo, he doesnt even know wher his point A stand and what Point B is.

He like to draw cool stuff ,but is hey Plot-fuck the plot. Logic -what logic? All his cool stuff is basicly without substance and emotions. I think he wanted to make another DBZ plot point. He drags unnesacary things out to much.

I know fans will cry "he was sick, his mental health". Even at his best health he wrote problems like hueco mundo and fullbringer. Even the healt is shady statment, if we take account that bleach endet in august 2016 do to health problems but he realised his one shot for burn the witch in july 2018.( wouldnt shonen jump let him take a out tie ,hiatus like the other artist). Im not saying he is lying on his mental health, but mostnif his problems are his own stupid ideas.

Making both aizen and ywach stupid powerful, (so powerful that it reaches nirvana) than not knowing how to defeat them. Resulting in both stupid deus ex machina asspull bullshit.

Ichigo constantly losing his powers and bankai only to get them back.

Ichigo beeing a hybrid of all races only to spam more tenshou getsuga and the same move set for 668 chapters.(hello hichigos sword style, ) his quincy blut vene and arterie was only used once than dropped, his mask dropped, hollow powers like cero... i could go on..wtf was the point of ichigo beeing a fullbringer.

The main cast, kubo doesnt even know what to do with them. If you dont know about your characters then kill them off, sideline them or dont create them.

Chad is useless and should be sideline back after ss.

Rukia, one of the best female character of shonen jump , gets sidelined - so kubo can make the big boobed stupid as a brick girl(wich every fucking manga has) the mc girl.

Orihime, was highlined to surpass god. Only to fail in every aspect.

Uryu - well the tybw should handle him better.

Think of it, for a manga

Bleach -doesnt have much emotional scene, wich makes you sad or happy

Bleach - doesnt have real meaningful character interraction and bonds.

For a battle fight manga -80 procent of the fight are dull and boring.

The mc is not driving the plot.

Bleach -constantly condtract itself.

Bleach villians- were both defeated by an asspull

BLEACH ARC- are all the same or too similiar. Two of his arcs are rescue one after the other. Fullbringer is like the visored . Ichigo get every arc to be killed,power stolen, bankai destroyed.

If you dont believe me look at kubos work.

I think Bleach was supposed to be a two Arc story, but (probably) a mix of Shonen Jump pressuring for more content and Kubo's own wish for fame and fortune (he's one of the rare ones that actually WANTS to be seen and adored as a public figure. ) made the (logical) absolute defeat of Aizen at the end of the Soul Society Arc impossible.

Now Kubo had no more original ideas.

Now Kubo needed to develop his work more... But he never truly had what was needed, which explains so, so many non-canon Arcs, Episodes and Movies that only have (rarely) his name somewhat attached.

The Arrancar Saga brings about the only good novelty (The Visored) and the Turn Back The Pendulum mini-arc.

As for the rest?

Nel and her Gang is a mini-copy (parody of...) the Karakura Gang.

The Espada are an actual villainous copy paste of the moraly grey Shinigami (Grimmjow= Renji without the "redemption". Ulquiorra= Byakuya without any actual feelings, morals and redemption.)

Aizen has this very, very creepy interactions with Inoue first and Ichigo later on...

Inoue "She's One Of Us Now" supposedly has Godlike powers, but not really, because why are we suddenly trusting what the villains say?

Kenpachi is Kenpachi-ying, because Kubo is allergic to give that man an actual personality.

Mayuri is there because... Kubo created another horrible mad scientist for a face off, I guess?

Oh, and to make a portal for Ichigo because Urahara is never there from the get go...

Ichigo again as the quintessential Lamb To The Slaughter, because that's Kubo's kink (Ichigo learns nothing from the suffering each time since he keeps getting thrown into even worse messes, so there's no Character Growth actually. We see it because we project our own issues onto him.)

Isshin does nothing but berate his son, lie and, instead of sacrificing himself, readily offers his son's powers via Final Getsuga Tensho...

Ichigo wears Aizen out but his victory is stolen away by...ta-dah...Urahara!

Because in the end it didn't mean shit and all Urahara needed was to get some kido spell on Aizen... Who's now for some fucking reason technically immortal.

Aizen should have died.

The Hogyoku should have had some "remnants" from when it was inside Rukia and "reject" Aizen altogether.

Villains CAN die. It's okay. Some deserve to...

Ichigo could have killed him and live happily with it.

Especially if TYBW didn't exist and Grand Fisher had been one other experiment of Kaname Tōsen (the actual scientist) sent by Aizen to Karakura.

Aizen would have been the causality (indirect killer) that brought about the actual cause (the one who did the killing) of Masaki's death...

There.

Salvageable and...End.

Or not.

Because for all of the boring parts of the Fullbringer Arc, (The Fullbringers are just villainous copy-paste of the Visored) I actually liked the final episodes and the (accidental?!?) message that the Karakura Team wasn't all that we were sold about.

There were no real, enduring friendships there.

And the ones who actually came to help (I have the theory that they were, in fact, forbidden from trying to contact Ichigo by Central 46. It makes sense. ) were the Shinigami.

But not just any Shinigami. The ones who had a connection to Ichigo...

And yes THIS should have been the end.

But then Kubo had his fingers in other "pies" that needed Bleach to churn out more characters... How else do you get to the 12th Anniversary of Bleach Brave Souls if you end your story?

How else do you get more revenue from the brand Soul Resonance game?

How do you keep KlubOutside relevant if no one wants to talk about Bleach anymore?

In the end, the likely answer for why Bleach is so convoluted and badly written is wanting to make money fast...

But from other point, why choose chad and orihime to be ichigos team against ywach. It totaly dehyped his major battle.

Well kubo has some problems..most of his interviews ar negative. Him telling fans complaining about orihime to eat dirt. Telling fans who didnt like his ending , if they think they can write better their should.

He is also rude towards his colleagues:him telling gege artist from jjk he doesnt like his females( wich is shallow coming from a mangaka who said he likes his female based their breast size). He said he doesnt like oda mangaka from one piece( wich oda replied with a cheerful comment, i love oda). Normal such comment are inappropriate for japanese standart.

Everyone can have their opinion but kubo comes off as rude and jealous...even insecure.

I think chad and orihime should be sidelined back after ss arc.with rukia and renji, and propably the visored be ichigos gang and fighting camerades.(the visored were done dirty)

Because everything is bullshit, he decided to use his immense power to change it. He decided to embrace that. Instead, he failed, and is left in the darkest pit.

A protector? Yes. Absolutely. His first motivation...

But let's not put Ichigo on some sainthood pedestal and forget that he always had that bloodlust inside of him and that he did in fact enjoy having all that power and fighting.

Even back in Karakura he had a reputation of being a little punk...

In that flashback with Keigo and Mizuiro, we get the feeling no one else outside his sisters and the souls he helped, saw him as kind.

Much on the contrary.

(Also, being kind and being nice are two different things...)

Itching to trounce Ulquiorra...

Instead of rushing towards Karakura (Which... If all he wanted to do was protect his family... Shouldn't he WANT to go there as fast as possible?) this dude starts being stubborn about wanting to stay to help Byakuya and Kenpachi.

He enjoys some of his fights so much he even has entire conversations with his opponent and stops to admire his powers...

The only fight where we never, ever see him smile even a bit is against Aizen... After he already knew the price to pay for victory was the loss of his Shinigami powers.

Yes he's a protector.

But that's not all he is because Ichigo is one of the few characters that aren't one dimensional in this entire series...

He's also a fighter.

A Hollow in Shinigami clothes. (The Quincy part was retconned and you can pry that opinion from me... Never. )

A son, A brother, A friend, A punk, A nerd, A bit of a weirdo.

Someone who deep down inside has a heart of gold but doesn't really trust anyone to fully show it.

A traumatized boy who's reactive, sometimes a bit too easy to bait, sometimes too aloof and cold for his own good.

Someone who actually does like having his powers.
