Might get hate for this and I don’t know if I’ve made a post about this already. But it’s something I’ve noticed that needs to be addressed. For some reason in the ‘Soul Society betrays ichigo au’ fics rukia is 99% of the time the first person to betray him. Literally to a comedic degree. Where she isn’t even herself anymore. But a bastardization. Rukia out of every character is the least likely to betray him. She knows what it’s like to have soul society and the people close to you turn on you. She has gone against direct orders to help him. She’s just more cleaver about it. Exploiting loopholes and such. She was able to figure out that ichigo had hollow powers and she didn’t rat him out. She told him he’s strong enough to overcome it. That she believes in him. I’ve only found 2 fics that DONT do this. One of them had her pretending like she wasn’t against it. All while poisoning people who betrayed him. Spreading roomers to turn them against each other and gathering allis behind the sense. In order to gain power to free Ichigo. Like she was in an ancient Chinese historical drama. You cant tell me that isn’t way more interesting than “Rukia is bitch who is brainwashed into blindly believing whatever she’s ordered to do”. I feel like they only character bash her because they don’t wanna write about Ichiruki. But like just say they view each other as siblings. IS THAT SIMPLE! Character bashing is lazy writing. I spent my brake writing this lol
