On another episode of Wagnerian singers being the fucking cutest, here’s Kirsten Flagstad.
Ahoooooooy Matey! This beer is hitting me in all my feel good taste bud spots. The hoppy beer, mixed with citrus hints, and flavors of toasted pine, and finishing with a bit of sweetness, just sends my senses all over the place. I am partial to IPAS, so this one is clearly up my ally. Mission Brewery did something right with this.
(also, I apologize my reviews aren't as long and detailed as Sir Knox's
 ;-P )

"I am Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod - I was born in 1592 in the Highlands of Scotland - And I am still alive - I am immortal"  ....is what comes to mind when I see this beer. I feel like it's definitely something that would have been enjoyed by famous Scottish figures such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce...yeah I know you all know who they are :)
Belhaven has been brewing since 1719 but that's all that can be confirmed, it's speculated though, to go back far before the 16th century and possibly back to the 12th century where beer was commonly brewed by Monks. This beer in particular definitely definitely embodies that of Scottland's ancient history. The aroma it gives off is a rustic, old world aroma. It's taste, is as if it was pulled from the 17th century, poured from an old Oak cask setting in the stone cellar of some hillside village tavern.
It has a woody/smokey flavor reminscant of Scottland's very peaty scotches ( such as LaPhroaig), it is a very "hoppy" beer and full of earthy flavor but the finish is somewhat smooth and creamy with a (somewhat burnt) chocolaty flavor
I have to say, this is my first time drinking this beer and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites

yes.
Ichigo cosplay, last minute on a friend of ours.Â
Cosplay and stuff. Katsucon 2013. Smoke. You need to see the details on this (sorry for the blurry picture!)
Sometimes when we play games, dragon cats show up for boss fights. It's cool though. We also drink Mead and wine. Always a classy event.Â

You guys, may or may not know this, but I am working on Coplay for #magfest coming up in January. It will be my first year, and first time cosplaying. Who will I be? Oh, just a Nightingale from Skyrim. This is a progress picture of my bow. Started with the bottom, cardboard, then the next step was expanding foam on both sides.Â
I have recently carved it down to the shape, and will be posting more pictures soon! I'm so in love with it already, I just hope the rest will fall into place also.Â
Oh hey! It's a beer after my own heart. The name, well that obviously drew us to it.Â
The target I think this drink is aimed at, is that noblest of social groups: the nerd. Where this bottle is apparently designed to fit right in, is next to a game of Warhammer. Or next to the keyboard of someone playing World of Warcraft. Or beside someone reading a Tolkien or Pratchett novel.Â
takes some getting used to, the sour and bitterness of it..Â
Will I buy it again in a hurry? As I’m not a fan of too much bitterness, probably not. That said, I will look out for it for just the right occasion. Does anyone want to play Dungeons & Dragons with me? -Kay
This beer, is sort of more of a novelty, than anything else. to my personal likings it probably isnt something i would buy again. It smells like incense, and tastes like domestic beer. I mean.. try it. You may like it.:)- KayÂ

This,is something else. Let me just make it clear that we were looking for something that tasted more like pumpkin. But this, out of the three is my favorite. It is light, crisp, and not over powering. Although less awesome pumpkin flavor than the Harpoon pumpkin, This , is .... delish. :) -Kay

My dragon shout flow is sweeter than a sodastream you won't believe your eyes I'm like an overload of Dopamine
Honestly, I was quite disappointed with this beer (Mega tears!). I expected a bit more than what It was. Every one of my friends was raving about it, and now I'm a bit confused why.
The label on this beer does not lie. They say it’s brewed with real pumpkins, brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and they aren’t kidding. It’s all there, in scent. After tasting multiple times, None of those smelled carried through in flavor.Â
Don't get me wrong. I love a good brown ale, I love strong alcohol content, and I love strong hops flavors, but it over powered everything else in it. I would drink this everyday, but to me.. it wasn't very "pumpkiny" (yep, thats a word now!) -Kay
