#I think I’m still pretty bitter about all the birthdays I went literally above and fucking beyond #for my last boyfriend (ex now - The Boy)#and then when it came to my birthday he barely did anything tbh #like no joke at the beginning of the relationship I made these cute lil crafts or art projects (& cause I was low on money at the time)#but they were super cute!! I remember making a little date jar with color coded popsicle sticks #dont remember exactly but think one was for going out and another for staying in and I do for sure remember red was for spicy times #(fun fact we never used it 😭)#think on Valentine’s Day one year I gave him a deck of cards and wrote on each one 1 thing I like/loved about him #further into the relationship obviously #but then when we lived together???!! oh man I went all out 😅#I would bake different types of cookies and I remember trying new ones just cause I knew he would like them #and then I would set up this cute lil fort either in the living room or my room (I made a few throughout the years lol)#and I would make it all comfy for us and depending on how he was feeling we would sometimes play our switch #and sometimes watch a movie or show he wanted to watch or show me #for that day especially I would make sure he didn’t have to lift a finger #oh you want a drink? I got you 😌 oh you forgot something in the other room? where is it I’m getting up now 😌#oh you’re hungry?? good thing I have your fav dinner cooking in the crockpot and it’s almost ready 🥰#and then when it came to my birthday??? I remember I used to always take my birthday off of work and for a few years I would ask him #if he could take it off too so we could spend the day together #no joke I still remember for *multiple* years he would forget to ask for it off #and then he would say he would make it up to me on our next days off but never really did anything…#idk maybe my memory is shit and I don’t remember everything #but I definitely do remember my sister having to take me out on my 21st birthday cause I was hoping The Boy would do/plan something #also at that time I didn’t really have any other friends sooooooo 🙃🤷🏽‍♀️ good times good times #oh oh and one time I bought shrooms for my bday and he actually asked for it off and of course he got sick so we didn’t take them #and he kept saying we would plan a day to take them and we never did 😭 I literally bought a full oz and didn’t even touch it 😭😭😭#I want to be super clear here I know I go above and beyond and I’m not expecting anyone to do anything like that for me #I was just kinda hoping (especially with The Boy) for idk something 🤷🏽‍♀️ a lil planned date or sitting down and watching one of my movies #or even just idk a card telling me how much I mean to them #I know I’m running out of space so I’m gonna shush now 😂😂

I worked lol I crushed my route but then I was an idiot and went and got an oil change for some dumb reason????#I had so many other days where I was doing nothing and for some reason on my birthday I decide ya today is a good day to get my oil change 🤦#but of course oil change didn’t go to plan and had to deal with some car bullshit #so didn’t end up getting to actually sit down and chill until like 11pm #in total maybe got an hour to just chill on my birthday which was kinda sad #I had the next two days off so I was like whatever I’ll just kinda celebrate then #had plans to go over to 👿 place but didn’t get there until later on Tuesday cause I was dealing with a lot of bullshit at my place #don’t get me wrong I had a really good time at 👿 and I have some spicy stuff to tell you guys about later 🤭🤭#I was just thinking about it while I was on route yesterday and I don’t think I’ve really done anything *special* for my birthday in a #really really long time #I know a lot of it has to do with ya know the heavy *depression* I went through especially when I moved back to my parents place #but now that I went through all of my programs and I’m feeling a little more stable - I think about all of the years I missed doing nothinf #not just for my birthday but really in general - just staying home and doing nothing with my boyfriend at the time #but I’m still technically in my 20s and I don’t have that many crazy stories to show for it #whenever I’m hanging out with new friends and they tell me some crazy shit they did in the past or just a crazy story #don’t get me wrong I love listening to them I just start to get a lil jealous and think about all of my wasted time #but then when I have the chance to go out I start to get super anxious and end up making an excuse not to do it #I just need to start getting used to going out of my comfort zone again I think #I think being in my last relationship kept me in such a tiny box and I didn’t do really anything (also covid 🙃) but now I’m twenty fucking 8 #which makes me want to puke (not cause it’s old cause it’s really not but cause i have nothing to really show for it #I’ve been stuck in the same place for how many *years* at this point??? and every time I feel like I’m getting closer to moving #I get knocked back down with a different bill or a different thing I gotta worry about #wooooahhhh there buddy idk where all this came from lol I know you were just asking a basic question and then I just *dumped* a lot #overall it was okay 🤷🏽‍♀️ like the days in general were great but I don’t think I really did anything extra or special cause it was my bday #idk if that makes sense like if it wasn’t my birthday I would have literally 0 complaints it was a wonderful time #it just felt like any other day to me which ya know fair I know I’m actually not a princess and I’m not expecting a huge party or anything #I’m just thinking from now on I’m going to figure out something I can do on or around my birthday either with someone else or just by myself #as a little celebration 🎉✨#ask
