The first „side effect“ is that no child has survived birth until Kai. The elements want to move in to its next master but since there’s two elements and only one host, they fight inside the child. That fight is too much for a newborn and the child passes shortly after birth. If the child even gets born.

Kai miraculously survived thanks to a shit ton of healing tea and pure stubbornness.

The side effects that since appeared in Kai was that he was a weak child. He was lacking in his growth and abilities when compared to kids his age. Every time Kai was sick his parents (and Wu and Garmadon) would panic. But every time Kai mad it out okay.

When Kai was two and a half years old he started to get better really quickly. The reason? Maya was pregnant with Nya. At the time no one could explain it, it would take years until Kai and Nya figured it out, but Nya being on her way made one element chose her as its new host. Leaving Kai as the master of fire. The first think Nya ever did was save her brothers life. Without her Kai likely wouldn’t have made it to adulthood.

Given that the element stayed with Kai for roughly three years he has some interesting quirks.

The reason he is afraid of water is because he has an odd connection to it. He can feel the unpredictability of the water but feeling that and knowing you can’t do anything about that freaks him out. But at the same time water can be a comfort as long as it isn’t a large body of water-

Nya on the other hand has some fire resistance. She still gets a burn but it takes her longer to get one compared to others. She overall has less of the side effects because she never lived with both elements.

And on that note, had Nya not turned human again there would have been a large chance that the water would see Kai as its next host instead of returning to Maya or going to someone else. That would have resulted in Kai getting weaker and getting sick again. Probably would have ended with Kai dying. No matter how strong one person can not truly handle multiple elements.

This Saturday marked the premiere of Teamwork Entertainment's "Attack of the 50 Foot Serpent," a glamorous event for the film's star-studded cast and crew, but it seems like one actor didn't get the memo!

Cliff Gordon, 48, who stars in the film as "Gerald Rooperfort," arrived late to the premiere looking like something the cat dragged in!

The actor, most known for his role as "Fritz Donnegen" in the "Starfarer" franchise, was dressed head to toe in vintage Cucci that was so ill fitting after the actor's recent weight loss journey, that he may as well showed up to the event wearing a trash bag. Combined with his unkempt hair and sickly complexion, it's clear that Cliff Gordon couldn't be bothered to put himself together for the red carpet.

And it wasn't just his appearance that raised eyebrows. Footage shows the actor stumbling over himself and clinging to his assistant like an overgrown man-child, and was reportedly caught taking multiple mystery pills during the movie screening.

When Nya's happy, when there's an extra bounce in her step and she can't stop smiling, that's when it rains. Light and sweet to fill the world with that rich soil smell. The kind of rain that sends the whole world to glittering, and she can't resist twirling in it.

If she's mad? The sky goes as dry as the desert. Sure, her frustration can make rivers bubble up and currents switch directions, but her true fury shows by withholding rain from the ground. She's going to make people regret it and come begging for mercy.

Sadness, and especially grief, shows itself in thick clouds and a light mist. Everything is heavy and gloomy, but without the freedom of a full release- at least, not until she's ready to let it all out. Then it pours, rain dense enough to soak you with one drop, but there's something beautiful about that too- that acknowledgment of pain.

And of course, it often storms whenever she and Jay are together. While searching for him across the Merged Lands, Nya would often hear faint rumbles of thunder or catch distant flashes of lightning. She'd rush off in their direction- only to just miss Rogue without realizing he'd been there moments before her. During their tournament battle, a heavy storm had brewed, only to abruptly disperse when she won. And Nya thought she was constantly hearing distant thunder while Jay stayed with them at the monastery and helped search for Arin's parents, even if it never amounted to anything.
