Chat Noir responded like that to Ladybug’s offer for him to find a stand-in because he doesn’t WANT to reveal his identity.

when has he ever said he wants to reveal to anyone besides Ladybug? he actually seems like he enjoys the anonymity of having no one know who he is. the only exception is Ladybug.

there are only two people he would consider revealing to—Nino and Marinette. Nino told him he found Chat Noir annoying, which seriously may have made Adrien not want to reveal to him. he also knows he is already Carapace. Marinette just said in a prior scene that she didn’t want to be a superhero (to get out of being Renardette) , and he also witnessed Marinette as Multimouse and “Ladybug” telling her that she couldn’t use her again because it was too risky since her identity had been revealed.
