I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare

I think there's some medias that you just cannot meaningfully engage with if your main priority is shipping

I also just get tired of people not wanting to engage with the media any deeper other than shipping. Or the analysis is only through romantic or sexual ships. There's more the media than romance and sex, it's just one small part!

People responding to criticism of Gooseworx joking about the fandom’s shock over her own/the cast’s racist jokes with “you gotta meet more women omg” is like. Yeah actually I would love to meet more women that sounds like a great time but not racist indie creators who respond to people calling them out for racist jokes and posts with “cigarette fandom gonna be eating good tonight”

I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀

if you say women are intentionally nerfed from birth in 2026 people look at you like you’re insane and start condescendingly telling you about how women are just better at different things (but not during their periods haha) but this was a completely basic feminist talking point I grew up with like “girls can do it too! [shot of little girls climbing and running with boys]” nickelodeon commercial tier base level I hate it how is everyone suddenly dumber than the average 7 year old

I know we make jokes about the proverbial asexual pervert who has written hundreds of thousands of words of smut on ao3, but also shoutout to the aces who aren’t perverts. to the aces who skip the sex scenes and wince at sex jokes and awkwardly leave the conversation when your friends start talking about sex. your boundaries aren’t childish and fuck anyone who says otherwise.

I saw a post that was like “now that gooseworx was banned from tumblr I never wanna hear about “transandrophobia” from you bitches ever again” and I completely agree that tumblr is hugely transmisogynistic towards its transfem userbase and it is genuinely abhorrant that trans women are being targeted like this but hey quick question because I know you’re referring to trans men and mascs here: why’d you call us bitches?

Also, even though it’s likely that gooseworx was terminated due to tumblr’s transmisogynistic biases and that is something worth speaking about, I appreciate people in the notes talking about how poc (especially Black people) who have rightfully called out the racism in her works and fandom are now going to get hit with even more accusations of transmisogyny as a way to silence them and that is not okay.

i liked when phm first came out and a lot of the fandom was like “yes aroace grace! so true!” because FINALLY a widely accepted aroace hc!! and then some people started shipping grace and simon and it spread like the plague and everyone tossed aside aroace grace in favor of shipping
