Summary:

Will takes a moment, hands clenched into fists at his sides, to rest his head against the grain of the wood and close his eyes. Here, with the solid weight of the door to ground him, he evaluates the facts: the war is over, Vecna dead and gone for good this time. Max is awake, reunited with Lucas and El at last, who both rushed to return to their places at her bedside the moment they knew. The rest of his family is upstairs, the rest of his friends alongside them, alive and mostly well and rejoicing in the fact that a years-long nightmare has finally reached its conclusion. It’s a night for togetherness, for celebrating hard-earned victories, for finally looking ahead instead of back over their shoulders. It’s also a night where Will almost killed Mike.

In the midst of their final stand against Vecna, a possessed Will nearly strangles Mike to death. In the basement bathroom of the Wheeler's house after their victory, Mike and Will confront the aftermath.

Mike swallows and reorganizes his priorities and grabs the radio out of the backpack. His fingers are on the push-to-talk when a loud clattering noise makes him whip towards the door. Will’s head snaps up at the same time, so Mike’s nose is in his hair, and normally that would be the distraction of a lifetime. Except the clattering came from out there. The hallway beyond the door. And the only other thing in this school right now is— “The Demodog.” “Shh. Don’t move.” As if Mike would be dumb enough to move. Still, not moving leaves them in what some would call a compromising position. When it was brief, Mike could stand not to notice every little detail, but rooted to their spots, he’s hyper-aware: their feet aligned in a puddle of Clorox, hips brushing, Will’s shoulder pressed into Mike’s chest, the tickle of Will’s hair against Mike’s nose. Mike clutching Will, Will clutching Mike.

In Lenora, she taught herself how to knit, and so every member of the Byers family has the wonkiest scarf known to man

Later, when she’s a much better knitter she tries to take them back but when everyone refuses she ends up sneaking into their rooms to fix them, Will wakes up to this once and thinks Vecna is back from the dead and knitting in his room

She likes crafting in general, Joyce taught her how to sew, and she scrapbooks everything

She gets into DnD for the figurine painting

She likes learning but never goes back to school (Owens acquires her a diploma)

As a young adult she doesn’t really know what she wants to do with her life and basically does every job a person can do

She had a brief stint as the receptionist at the police station but was fired for showing favouritism (it was towards Callahan not hopper)

Her music taste is very eclectic, she loves music that has really intense emotions and gets really into riot grrrl in the 90s

She loves fashion but especially loves flowy hippy 70s stuff

She loves a funky accessory, especially earrings and headbands

She helps Jonathan with his films when’s he’s home, especially with making costumes
