@maradigma requested that I scan & upload some animation specs from an InuYasha art book I bought about a decade ago (the last copyright in this printing is from 2004). These scans are… pretty terrible, I’m sorry. It’s an old book and the pages in the back (including these) are starting to fall out, so I was trying to be careful with it. Hopefully, they’ll be useful all the same.
I really love the commentary that Rumiko Takahashi added on a lot of these, not only the self-deprecating comment about Sesshomaru’s wandering and sometimes-absent wrist stripes, but also this particularly endearing comment on Kagome’s sheet: “Take care in drawing: No matter how rough the action, please do not show her underwear.” She was determined that this was not going to be that kind of anime. Sure enough, every time Kagome goes ass-over-teakettle there’s something in the way to prevent a panty shot (one time it’s her shoe in forced perspective lol).
