i had totally forgotten i had this this blog, oh my god.

but hello! im writing this right as i am watching the recent Sander Sides video “Have I Grown?” i’m glad it still had the same charm as the previous ones!!

because of how much less ive been watching this series lately, i have lost some interest in roman, but he still holds closely to my heart, dearly. i just made some room for othwr characters! (cough cough, varian from tangled the series, cough cough.)

that video is obnoxious for a multitude of reasons but the thing that gets really getting under my skin is all these comments saying that the comments calling her out on her internally misogynistic behavior are just insecure women projecting their insecurities onto others. like lets think critically for a sec, are these girls calling you a pick me actually want to bring you down because theyre just so overzealous of you or are you actually being one. heres the definition of a pick me. “a pick me is a woman that is willing to do anything for male approval. She will embarrass, shame, or throw other women under the bus to achieve this goal.” another thing that ive seen pick-mes do is enforce stereotypes onto other girls to make them look different, or “not like other girls.” im saying this trend reminds me alot of the “catty women” stereotype. those women that hate all other women and see them as threat. the label being problematic more many reasons. its used to discredit valid female anger. when a woman would get upset, she would be labeled as catty. second, this type of mindset convinces girls this generation that they should view all women as competition. you know how your teachers/parents would tell you “oh, women could fight for days but men would get over it quickly!” yeah, that also fuels that point. the “catty women” myth is trying to divide women. society tells us that girls hate other girls so we should to. thats how they have women under control. i would prolly have more good points to bring up, but anyone else can add on.
