Today we’re announcing a pilot partnership with BuzzFeed Audio’s Another Round podcast! We at Rolltape are big fans of the show hosted by Heben Nigatu and Tracy Clayton, which shines a light on race, gender, and pop culture. It’s no surprise that Another Round has a vibrant community of listeners. With today’s update to Rolltape, we’re inviting them to share their stories on Rolltape Radio. Another Round listeners can respond to questions aired on the podcast, hear each other’s responses, upvote and comment on them.

With Rolltape’s latest launch, we’re introducing a new way for podcasts to build community and share new voices on Rolltape Radio. We can’t wait to hear how Another Round’s podcast and listenership benefit from this new channel for communication. This month, Rolltape is happy to partner with The Other Side of Service, a global community of military spouse professionals.

The Other Side of Service is a nonprofit that tells military spouses’ stories to empower fellow spouses to find fulfillment in their chosen career fields. The organization provides comprehensive employment support to military spouse professionals throughout the world. Its community platform allows spouses to connect through mentorship programs, educational activities, advocacy, and conferences.

OSS is educating the world about the complexities of maintaining a career as a military spouse. Balancing constant relocations, licensing logistics, childcare needs, and deployments can be extremely challenging.

OSS is accomplishing its mission through the power of storytelling. One person's experience can inspire a movement. By telling the individual stories of military spouses, The Other Side of Service empowers families and supports our military.

This week on Rolltape Radio we had a Mother’s Day contest to celebrate our moms — the women who cared for us and inspired us to be who we are today. Our Rolltape Radio community shared personal memories about their moms that truly touched us!

We launched Rolltape Radio last week where people with Rolltape can broadcast tapes publicly and share them on social media and the web. We have an awesome collection of tapes across a variety of stations including Cocktails & Craft Beers, Women’s Health, Poetry, and Politics.

Now you can browse tapes on the topics our Rolltape community cares about. Look for the Stations menu in the hamburger menu on mobile and next to the Rolltape Radio logo on desktop. As our community grows, we’ll continue to add Stations that are topical to our users.
