I hate how many people write or characterise Rudy as being reliant on Alejandro like yeah, they're gay as fuck and they high-five with the same hand they jerk each other off with but they're two separate people.
Rudy isn't a dainty little man who'll cry and panic whenever Alejandro isn't in sight. He's a grown man who almost burned alive and spent what he thought were his last moments retelling information he knew would help the mission. That's strong as fuck. He also managed to avoid getting captured on his own base and made his way through the city alone to Alejandro's safe house. He didn't have a big spooky bugger in a mask to help him.
Just because he's less expressive than Alejandro doesn't mean he's fragile. My favourite interpretation of him will always just be the incredibly capable guy who surprises people because he doesn't feel the need to brag about it or prove himself, also just strikes me as someone who bites back his comments on things. And then the minute they're alone he tells Alejandro all of them because they've been building up and now he's annoyed at the small things, it makes Alejandro laugh.
