need a book about a girl just absolutely going through it. Need a book about a girl who is allowed to be unhinged and cruel and make poor decisions. Need a book about a girl who is an unreliable narrator, who talks to herself, who can feel herself slipping away, holding on to her sanity by her fingernails. Need a book about a girl who gives up on trying to do the right thing, and instead tries to do the exact wrong thing. And she tells herself that even tho she’s doing awful things, it’s for the right reason, but in reality, a lot of it is for her. Because she deserves to do some bad things after everything she’s been through. Right? Need a book about a girl who genuinely might not get better. She can, of course. But make me think she won’t first. But most of all I need a book about a girl. Not about a girl falling in love with a boy.
