I cannot express how happy I am that Jax is a trans woman. In my opinion it was handled so gracefully and so beautifully. Is she trans? Yessir. Does she ever come out? No, she’s too afraid. In her abstracted mind she sees that queerness as disgusting, vulgar and sexual, everything a repressed person thinks. It was such a real and raw portrayal of internalized transphobia. She’s not a good person, being trans does not purify her. She just is. UGH. SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL.

I like tadc, i’ve followed it since its first episode. Is it corny with a myriad of problems? Absolutely. But who the hell cares, as long as it’s telling the story it wants to tell. Jax was always the most interesting character (save for Kinger or Caine) who had the most going for her and all I wanted out of the movie was some closure on her. As an AVID Transfem Jax theorist and supporter I cannot even begin to articulate how amazing it was to actually see it as a reality.
