today is definitely not going the way that he expected it to go.Ā honestly, he just expected to pick up a package and go back to his parents place to spend some time with them since .. he needed the company.Ā of all places, he never expected to be chatted up in a post office, much less a very public post office by a guy.Ā at least their conversation sounds friendly enough .. right? nothing too over the top.
just because jinseok can sense the nuances doesnāt mean that anyone else can.Ā at least, thatās what heās hoping.Ā (Ā after all, he does have a public image to uphold now.Ā as much as he doesnāt want to have to hide himself, itās just part of the territory.Ā )Ā Ā
ā yeah, you did.ā jinseokās smile slowly creeps onto his lips without him recognizing, eyes curving into crescents.Ā itās probably the first time heās smiled so wide in awhile, and thatās a feat amazing in and of itself.Ā itās definitely been .. a long couple of days since heās returned from jeju.Ā thatās all that he can say.Ā jinseok snorts,Ā ā if you met my mom, youād know why i dote on her.Ā she deserves the world.ā talking about his mother always puts him in a better mood, because he knows sheās practically an angel in disguise.Ā in his eyes, she can do no wrong - but even thinking on this doesnāt really make the slip into a gentler expression pass his notice.Ā maybe he shouldnāt have brought her up?
⦠why is jinseok worried about it, anyway? heās just a stranger in the post office.Ā a very friendly stranger who is very clearly hitting on him in the post office.
good thing that no one is around to hear this whole entire conversation and judge it.Ā after all, the guy is laying on the hints pretty thick.Ā Ā ā ⦠sure.ā he finally says after a beat, thinking about it.Ā itās just a number, and jinseok - no matter what this may seem like, always likes making new friends.Ā Ā ā iāll give you my number after weāre done here ⦠while we go get that hot chocolate -ā
itās a subtle hint that jinseok is willing enough to go.Ā he wants to see where it takes him.Ā itās in his head when jinseok finally steps up to the counter to collect his motherās package, and steps off the side to wait.
after all, itās just hot chocolate.
jaehwan doesnāt think that, despite his radiating confidence, his lines are working that well actually but he does think that that pretty guy finds him likeable -- there was no punch to his face yet. no disgusted grimace. seems like itās a good road heās going down there. seems like he likes him, thereās some interest at least. another victory, a small one but it counts.
of course it counts with jaehwan.
thereās even a smile as a reward and it comes so unexpected, that heās frozen solid for a moment. heās gotten one from the boy before when he started the conversation with his smoothest line ever but it seemed more forced, comes off more natural right now. real. and itās very pretty. so pretty that jaehwan is lost in it, feeling a little dazed. it makes his cheeks warm up sheepishly when the other goes on and snaps him back into it. āahāyeah ā¦. moms. thatās how itās supposed to be with them, though, isnāt it? youāre supposed to want to give them the world,ā he says as if he knows what heās actually talking about. he probably wasnāt any different when he was a boy.
right now he wants something entirely different, though. and chances are good that heās going to get that, his cheeks almost splitting apart with the wide smile thatās stretching across his lips when his pretty boy agrees to not only get something to drink with him but also give him his number. ding ding ding; main price. the smile is still there after he drops off Ā his small package and exits the post office, phone already in his hands to type in the otherās number. āunless you want me to save you as pretty boy, nowās probably the best time to tell me your name.ā jaehwan throws a look next to him. āand to think what you want to do with that package. you want to bring it with you?ā
