so i just finished Quantico, the not so successful ABC drama with the amazing Priyanka Chopra. I don't usually ever write any thing on this blog, Just enjoy looking at others posts, but I feel we need to talk about Quantico. Unlike most, I truly enjoyed the show, especially the cast. My opinion of season one is that it was great. sure the drama sometimes felt very recycled and old, but it didn't feel like a deal breaker. The twists and turns kept me interested, the acting made me stay. (i'm probably a little in love with priyanka) I absolutely adored her in her role as alex, feeling she brought representation and great acting. i also loved other characters like the Amin twins as well as Caleb Haas, Simon Asher, and Ryan Booth. The end of season one felt like one long movie wrapped. Season two started to feel more like a forced sequel. There's no denying the chemistry between Booth and Alex. Rather than the plot, they kept me intrigued. But the first half of the season, I was more invested in one of the two timelines presented: the one where alex was being a complete badass. Season 2 part two, in just one timeline, felt.... okay? i guess?? I was pretty disappointed when the plot started feeling simultaneously boring and confusing (but i stuck it out bc i literally adore Priyanka. like she's ruined all other actresses for me I now only want her as the lead in every show ever. ) don't get me wrong, season two wasn't a complete train wreck or anything, but it's a disappointment when one character or actress seems to be the one carrying the rest of the show on her back. All in all, form an opinion and watch. I believe curiosity will keep me going to see the shorter, last stand of season three. (and alex and ryan. for the love of god let ryan and alex be together for more than 3 episodes. jesus christ, we know they are better as a team anyways.)It is my honest hope that with the new season, premiering in January 2018, comes an exciting but simpler, one timeline plotline, highlighting the best of what this show has to offer.
