Must not pick that scab off. It will not in fact get rid of the scab and just create a different scab. The scab is not done cooking yet. I am completely normal about scabs. <-gripping the edges of his chair so tightly the wood is starting to crack
what do you mean I can't control everything, why not
limping away from the battlefield all by yourself, handsome?
My current favourite pen - the sailor pro gear slim
Originally this pen write very scratchy with hard starts and skipping, but with a wetter ink and some light pressure it writes beautifully. The weight and size of this pen are great for those with smaller hands and the colours are all beautiful.
It did come with a matching ink but I have unfortunately lost it - the two inks in this writing sample are wearingeul three musketeers and sailor iroshizuku syo-ro.
Three musketeers was slightly too dry for this pen, and is a nice blue black with some shading that doesn’t come through much in this small of a nib.
Syo-ro is a lovely turquoise with some reddish shading and a wet flow. It matches nicely with the pen and behaves nicely in my cheap notebooks.

Lamy Dark Lilac (2016) is a beautiful ink - I can see why people paid so much for those elusive bottles, though I find that for me the rerelease will likely fill the same if not a similar space in my ink collection. It has a medium flow with a beautiful golden sheen. I found that on cheap workbook paper the sheen was very visible, but for whatever reason the paper I use for writing samples doesn’t show sheen very well.
The Lamy ABC was my first ever fountain pen and even now, years later it’s still a wonderful writer. I would say the “A” nib translates to around an M Lamy nib. It’s a slightly wet writer, and I can see how the childish appearance may not be for everyone, but at its core it’s a fun, reliable pen that doesn’t cost too much.
Pelikan Edelstein ink of the year 2025 - Apricot Achat
A lovely light tangerine, this ink has a medium to wet flow and is surprisingly readable for such a light ink. It has good shading and no shimmer or sheen. Well behaved on even the worst printer paper. I love the entire Edelstein collection - they’re inspired by gemstones, combining two of my favourite interests into a wonderful collectible. They’re always well behaved and they come in some great colours.
I used my eco twsbi for this writing sample - it’s the first fountain pen I ever got myself and I find that it is the least picky of all my pens, save my parker 45. It works well with all varieties of ink, including shimmers and writes smoothly. However it does have an incredibly stiff nib, so if you’re looking for a more varied line width this won’t be the pen for you.
you solve the mystery of what to have for dinner one night and you think "hell yeah case closed forever" WRONG there is a dinner mystery the next night too
Writing sample of Scarlet Metropolis an Heroic Blue from the Ferris Wheel Press x Superman Collection - Written with a Parker 45 (Medium Nib)
I find both of these inks, much like the other Ferris Wheel Presses I’ve tried, very dry, to the point of being somewhat unusable. Due to this I picked my wettest pen for this sample - hopefully as I continue to write it will behave itself.
Unfortunately these photos don’t do the shimmer justice; there’s a blue shimmer in Scarlet metropolis and gold in the Heroic blue.
The Parker 45 deposits a truely remarkable amount of shimmer, so if you are looking for a pen for shimmers, I would recommend looking for one secondhand.
I don't need to carry a fountain pen and ink everywhere I don't need to carry a fountain pen and ink everywhere I don't-
