feeling sick, so i stayed in bed and watched dept q and i just have to say.... the most unrealistic thing about it isn't the office by the showers or that the scottish government would approve a "substantial" budget for a cold case department, it's the fact that everyone hates carl. like, yes, objectively he is a bastard, but he also spends the entire series with unkempt floppy hair and dressed in shades of blue that match the repressed sadness in his eyes. also, he has a sweaty panic attack in the middle of the road and gets clocked for it in front of the entire country. i REFUSE to believe there isn't a small-to-medium sized pool of women in his vicinity who don't think "i could fix him" or "he's fucked but i'd do it anyway."

guys, i work at an aquarium and my coworkers and i have literally laughed at this for three days straight. everytime we pass each other we whisper “current events” and crack up. our customers think we are nuts.
