like yes mickey had mandy and i do believe they’re close but not close how ian and mandy are close. mandy will choose ian over mickey. that’s the first guy who respected her and her best friend. of course she’s gonna choose the nice guy over her asshole of a brother. she told mickey that he was a pussy for not telling ian to stay. she chose to side with ian not knowing the severity of what had happened, although in her defence i believe she didn’t know the situation between mickey, ian, svetlana and terry. (kinda sad the writers didn’t give mickey and mandy more scenes together but there’s lots of things the show didn’t give us) (i think mickey and mandy sort of had to be close? if that makes sense? like yes they bonded over ian, but i almost view their relationship as they were forced to enjoy each other’s company because they lived together, were in the house together and of course bonded over ian. doesn’t mean they don’t love each other any less)

ian has the gallaghers. ian has mandy. mickey only has ian and has only ever had ian on his side. the gallaghers were quick to dismiss mickey when mickey did everything for ian. he came out for him, looked after him when he was sick and it still wasn’t enough.

like imagine mickey and ian get into an argument and everyone is like ‘what did mickey do now?’ without even listening to the context of what’s happens. just blame mickey! he’s rough and doesn’t understand emotions. let that man have damn emotions! he’s allowed to get annoyed with ian if he’s hurt by what’s happened. none of them are perfect. Iggy getting his shit together- this is a personal canon-ish headcanon of mine- We don't see Iggy in s10-11 because he ran away to get his life together. He knows he can't do that with Terry around. He's not as strong willed as Mickey to stand up to Terry so he had to disappear. Mickey has his burner phone for emergencies but Iggy only comes back to Chicago after Terry is dead. Maybe he crushes on I&M's couch for a week while he's looking for an apartment.

Sandy having the group chat on mute and popping in occasionally to absolutely roast Mickey sounds so accurate.

Oh I don't think Ian would risk his life by getting in between Mandy and Mickey. That kid has good survival instincts.

Terry was afraid of mickey. -> I agree. I think he knew how smart and mental strong Mickey is. More than everyone in that family. So he tried to control him so much when he was younger, because he knew if Mickey was on his side he would be so successful but if Mickey was against him, he could ruin him. Mickey has the brains, the muscles and the spirit. He was kind of Terry's secret weapon, going on runs with him from a very young age, while bossing everyone around.
