What do I hope out of a video game remake? There are two possible good routes that can happen. Either a studio takes a older but well known game, adds upon it while staying true to the source material, and elevates the game to a new found level of success, or a studio takes either a really bad game or unheard of game and remakes it into a good game.

How do I feel about video game remakes? Hesitant. Specifically, hesitant to be hopeful.

I wouldn’t say that Tumblr is dead. Instead, I would hypothesize that Tumblrs infrastructure is messy compared to other social media platforms. Facebook and Instagram have more sophisticated algorithms that send better matches content to users and writing sites are better geared to share writing content than Tumblr.

I've made a vampire species currently named the "hivers", whose distinctive trait is the ability to transform into swarms of small creatures, usually ones considered pests and vermin.

They can use this form to escape dangerous situations, as the survival of even one creature means they will be able to reform. However, the more critters are destroyed, the more of their memories will be lost. Because of this, hivers are fated to lose their identities over time.

And I would like to ask if that's something inherently distressful.

The reason I ask is because in the movie Sinners (2025), the main antagonist is a really old vampire from Ireland who is desperately in search for connection after his people and land were colonized.
