I see you celestial

The couch lowers softly as you sink into, a bowl of popcorn positioned in your hands - and shifting to be in your lap once you’ve curled against Jeongyeon, your girlfriend. The latter wraps an arm around your back, rubbing your side softly and eyeing the popcorn as you adjust, making sure it doesn’t spill.

It’s movie night in your house, which is quiet for once. The dogs are being babysat by Tzuyu, and you’d managed to get most of the housework done by the time Jeongyeon got home from training; leaving you both free time to relax. And one of the best ways to relax? Curling up and watching a movie.

“What did you decide on?” You murmured, popping a piece of popcorn in your mouth and savoring its buttery flavor.

Jeongyeon hummed. “Some newer comedy. I think it came out a month ago or something.”

Nodding along, you shift your eyes to the screen. She was right, it was definitely newer, and as you progressed into the movie it was quite interesting: but naturally overtime you were more concerned over Jeongyeon.

Gently kisses. Thats what you placed first. Small kisses on her hand, kisses that made her soften - a small, easy smile forming on her face.

“What’re you doing?”

You shrugged, chuckling and looking up at her. “..’nothin.”

Jeongyeon raised a brow, and chose to set the popcorn aside on the table - looking back at you. “You know,” She started, a grin forming. “You look like a bad kisser.”

You paused, pouting. “What?”

“It’s not a bad thing,” Jeongyeon waved quickly, laughing. “It’s just- you look like you’d be bad at kissing.”

“You kiss me all the time. I’m a good kisser.”

“Liar.”

You squint, huffing. “I’m lying about you kissing me?”

“Well,” Jeongyeon has this sort of impish grin on her face- probably because she knows she’s messing with you. “Technically all of our kisses are on parts of our bodies - not lips.”

Rolling your eyes, you cross your arms. “Well that’s not entirely my problem, now is it? And why do you think i’m so bad at kissing?”

Jeongyeon shrugs. “You just give off that vibe.”

“Vibe??” You huff. “So now we’re basing it off vibe? Really?”

Your girlfriend snickers at the way you defend. “You’re welcome to prove me wrong.”

“Wha- I-..”

Jeongyeon’s face was smug. Almost too smug. Damnit… you needed to wipe that stupid grin off. And so you huffed, grabbed her arm and tugged her over - pressing your lips to hers.

And yeah, she had a point.

You’d never really kissed on the lips. Maybe the cheek, or maybe you brushed her lips but never an actual full blown kiss.

Your heart beat quickened, and you pull away, murmuring. “See?”

Jeongyeon’s cheeks were ablaze, that smirk gone. She swallowed, murmuring. “…I, uh, I think you should do it again. I didn’t really get a feel.”

“A feel?” You raise a brow, chuckling and leaning in.

Your lips pressed to hers again, and Jeongyeon’s eyes slipped shut. Her hands clasped your hips, pulling you against her. A small yelp escaped your lips, but you stayed strong - keeping your hold on her and pressing to make the kiss deeper. And that’s when you noticed,

Jeongyeon’s hands were shaking.

She was nervous?

Pulling away, you glance down and then back up at her. “…you okay?”

“Yeah, yeah..” She whispered quickly, fighting to get her breath. “I..I’m good.”

“Hm..” You squinted, and she shook her head, leaning back in tentatively to kiss you again.

The kiss was slower now. Softer. Part of you felt bad, maybe you had rushed her a bit, but Jeongyeon seemed to be in her own world now. Her hands traced up from your hips to your waist, and then back down again. She held you closer, her head tilting to slowly deepen the kiss.

Oxygen wasn’t a thing you were even concerned about over.

Your hands buried into her hair, a weak breath leaving when air was available. Still, your lips moved in tandem against hers. The movie left forgotten - playing some random scene as you slightly pressed Jeongyeon down against the couch. She went willingly, tugging you ontop of her and breaking the kiss.

“…”

You stared down at her, and she stared up at you - the both of you panting.

Finally, Jeongyeon murmured.

“…I’ll never doubt you again.”

“Good.”
