"I've never met a picky eater of color" very much does feel like a pretty benign example of "people of color are cool, white people we uncool" type of racism because I think every culture has their own version of "chicken strips and fries" it's just that people aren't going to clock "curry and rice" or "miso buttle noodles" as being "safe foods" because their "ethnic". whatever that means.
Seeing people try to defend the lack of racial/ethnic diversity on Tumblr is... wow. So let me share a reminder: It used to be better! Still dominantly white, but better than what it is now, at least. Then everyone got tired of the "blackouts" and other mostly Black-led conversations around racism because it was "ruining their fandom fun" or something idk and quite literally chased out so many bloggers of colour through harassment campaigns from the user-base and massive staff-led blog purges. This was not even that long ago, btw.
I can think of so many beloved mutuals who had to leave this site for their mental health because they just couldn't take it anymore.
Tumblr deserves every shred of criticism it gets for being so white after all that.
This is to say, they take the same attitude JKR does: racism is wrong because it's factually incorrect on a pedantic level and not because it inherently places a certain group of people as inferior, a wrong belief to have no matter what.
For example, in the third Harry Potter, Hermoine gets called a slur by Draco. She goes to Hagrid, upset, and instead of saying Draco's wrong because he's bigoted and hateful, Hagrid starts talking pedantically. Not all muggle borns are inferior because Hermoine is academically gifted, and Neville, a pureblood, isn't. So therefore, racism is wrong! 👍🏾. Of course the implication is that if Hermoine wasn't good at school she'd deserve it..? And that's how tumblr users speak about racism.
My real world example is how some tumblr users tried to defend rap music by saying, not all of it is about drugs, sex and violence, so therefore it shouldn't be dismissed. But, what about the rap music that is about those things? Does that deserve to be belittled and mocked?
Astute observation as always. It's the subconscious belief that everything white is naturally superior because white people made it. While black art is naturally uncomfortable/hard to emphasise with because not only is it not white, it's black, and there's always an underlying sense of percieved aggression attached to blackness. For it to be liked, white people often project their own whiteness onto it (see things like how fandom treated Miles Morales after the Spiderverse movies). And when something, like rap music, does have an aggressive element to it, white people use that as an excuse to express discomfort while listening to heavy metal because white anger is the status quo and black anger is always a threat.
I didn't go far enough in describing the whitewashing as I'd like so here's my elaboration: fandom will often ignore a black character's aspects to their black culture and give them interests more aligned with white people (example: the fandom surrounding Tyler, the Creator's alter egos, where some of them lose their swag era fashion and get replaced with notoriously anti-black movements like (modern) scenemo), remove any "rough" edges to the black character to act "soft", tiktok softboi style (example: the woobification of Miles Morales), turning it into a big joke to laugh at and then call cringe (examples: Drake vs Kendrick rap beef, "brainrot" words that are just AAVE) or even just straight up ignoring the black context to music to fit their own white experiences (example: 'Wavy' by SZA being used by white girls to complain about not being blonde, the 'Black Barbies' by Nicki Minaj trend on tiktok being hijacked by insecure white girls, and ad nauseam).
This all just ties back into seeing black art as inferior and "fixing" what black art they deem just about good enough to be more white and ie more acceptable
If I and other autistics of color can recognize the signs, experience the outcomes, can even find different ways to explain them to you, then you can take the time to recognize how, regardless of your intent, you're being a bigot. I loathe this mentality here. Absolutely despise it. It fills me with a deep disdain and utter disrespect for people who act like it. It's not cute, it's not funny, and it's not acceptable.
Like y'all do realize that essentially saying "white autistics can't help being racist" is not only ableist but... Means that you're saying we shouldn't trust you, inherently? Is that a hill you really wanna die on? I can't fathom that. If I were a white autistic I'd swing on everyone trying to lump me in with that.

The 100% Good Twine SugarCube Guide is a coding guide for the SugarCube format of Twine. It is meant as an alternative to the SugarCube documentation, with further explanations, interactive examples, and organised by difficulty. The goal of this guide is to make the learning curve for new SugarCube user less steep, and provide a comprehensive and wide look over the format.

Apollo — M, 25 Years Old, Scorpio.
A lone wolf that you come across— along with his sister— within the forest that you know that you’d get lost in. A place, commonly referred to as The Outlands, that not many have returned from. With a warm smile, gentle heart, and calm demeanor, Apollo is the polar opposite to his sister. Though he does listen to whatever she commands of him. Will you be able to find something more with the lone wolf?
Appearance: Apollo stands at around 6’5” with crystalline green eyes— with streaks of gold strewn throughout. Dark brown hair, with highlights of gold, falls across his forehead in loose curls that his sister always ruffles. His tanned skin causes the brightness of his smile, and the sparkle within his eyes, to stand out that much more. He has a muscular body of a seasoned warrior.
Lupine Appearance: His appearance is similar to that of a gigantic wolf. Dark brown fur, with golden highlights, cause the crystalline green of his eyes to shine that much more. With a muscular physique his lupine form definitely doesn’t look like one you’d want to contend with.
Personality: He’s a warm hearted individual that only wants the best for everyone. He isn’t as jaded as his older sister— probably because he doesn’t remember as much as her— but he’d do absolutely anything for her. He’s more than happy to help you on your journey.
Artemis — F, 28 Years Old, Capricorn.
The other lone wolf that you meet that isn’t as friendly as her darling brother. With an icy glare, aloof disposition, and inability to trust you at first, she’s definitely not going to be an easy person to get close too, but you know that she and her brother know the forests you have to traverse better than anyone. Will you ever be able to heal the scars that have left cracks in her heart?
Appearance: Artemis stands at around 6’3” with crystalline blue eyes— with streaks of silver strewn throughout. Her golden white hair falls to the small of her back in a cascade of soft curls and waves. Her fair skin, only slightly tanned by the sun, was completely unblemished despite the hard life she has seemingly led. Her muscular body still held a lithe air that makes her more agile than her brother.
Lupine Appearance: Her appearance is similar to that of a gigantic wolf. Shimmering golden white fur is offset by the brilliance of her crystalline blue eyes. You don’t think you’ve ever seen a wolf as quick/agile as her.
Personality: She’s aloof towards you. While not being necessarily unkind, she’s definitely not what you’d consider welcoming. Her ire only seems to soften for her brother, which brings out the gentle heart that’s been hurt too much.
Grayson/Grace — M/F, 26 Years Old, Leo.
Your best friend in the entire world. You’ve known them since you were both Pups, when you had gotten pushed into a mud puddle and they went off on the much older boy that had done it. You’ve never met anyone as noble and gallant as G. They take their training as a Guard to the Royal Family seriously, which makes them even more protective of you. It wasn’t a surprise when they were the first person to volunteer after your quest was made known.
Appearance: They stand at around 6’1” with expressive hazel eyes: the most brilliant shades of greens melding with shimmering gold. Light brown skin cause the loose onyx black curls to stand out that much more. They have an athletic body from years of training.
Lupine Appearance: They’re lupine form is a massive bipedal beast— that’s common among the Guard. Onyx black fur, that’s thick and coarse to not allow easy penetration, is only offset by the gentleness of their sparkling hazel eyes.
Personality: They’re a very kind and generous person to those that they trust. No one being above you in that regard (and their little siblings). They just want what’s best for everyone in the pack and will make sure that happens. No matter the cost. They do not get along with Noah/Nora.
Noah/Nora — M/F, 27 Years Old, Cancer.
A member of the very Clan that your Pack had gone to war with so long ago. The very Creators of the Curse that now plagues you. With bad blood going back centuries, you aren’t sure if they’ll help you, but it seems like their Elders have something else in mind. Causing you to have a very put out, and sarcastic, mage along for the ride as you journey on to find out what was wrong with you. Will you ever be able to get passed the prickly exterior of theirs? Or will bad blood always stay that way?
Appearance: They stand at around 5’11” with midnight black hair. Silvery gold eyes— like the sun and moon meeting— causes the warm bronze tone of their skin to stand out that much more. You’ve never seen them smile, at least when it’s directed at you, but you’re certain it’d make their eyes brighten that much more. They have a slenderly lithe body.
Feline Appearance: You’ve only heard tales about their Clans abilities, but to see the giant cat that stood before you? Reminiscent of large panther, midnight black fur allows them to blend into any shadow. Only their golden-silver eyes shimmering within the expanse of darkness gives them away.
Personality: Noah/Nora is fairly brash/abrasive when it comes to you. They won’t hold back, no matter if it hurts your feelings, and they’ll definitely make it known that they wish they didn’t have to be part of this adventure. If you end up getting closer to them? Maybe you’ll start to see the gentle side of them come out more and more.

Hartley ` Babyface ˊ Nottlet [ he / him ] - a clumsy doctor in training
a young pirate who gets queasy at the sight of blood. he's soft spoken and stutters when attention is on him. he was kidnapped and brought onto hook's ship at a young age. the pirate life doesn't suit him but they're the only family he knows. he watched peter pan die.
standing at 5 feet 7 inches , he has sun kissed skin thats littered with dark brown freckles. his eyes are doe shaped and brown. his hair is kept short, softly curling right above his ears.
Dopeia [ they / them ] - the one that decides who lives or dies.
ever since its first appearance , a race of warriors have always stood between the neverland and its enemies. dopeia leads this feared group and fought alongside peter. they are what many call a flirty jokester and, when not on the battlefield, can never take a thing seriously. it was their sword that took peter's life.
standing at 6 feet 3 inches , they have dark brown skin, a beauty mark placed to the right of their lower lip. their hair, long and red, is usually kept into a high ponytail. when they aren't dressed in armor, their hair is loose. they've noticed a few white hairs since the death of peter.
Billie Brock [ unlock gender ] - the one who killed peter pan. red flag route
longing to seek their captain's approval ، it was billie that drove an enemy's weapon into peter's abdomen , all with a smile on their face. when they turned to look at their captain, they were met with disgust - rather than the approval and love they wanted. they are a siren, ancient bird people that have adapted to lived of piracy.
standing at 5 feet 4 inches, they have light brown skin and blackened eyes. replacing their hair is a perfect blend of blue, pink, and purple feathers. these feathers litter their body. their nails are short but sharp, and their teeth end with points.

I came up with this after I woke up from a dream 💀
WHEN THE SKY BLEEDS RED:
It’s a vampire IF.
MC was a vampire hunter and was part of a very well known team that would always get the job done.
Vampires in this world are “normal” looking. Newborns are newly made vampires, depending on how they were in human form, their skill will be amplified by tenfold. Oldborns are vamps that have lived for hundreds or thousands of years and are much stronger than a newborn.
MC was one of the top hunters the agency had to offer. After hunting an Oldborn vampire, MC gets injured and is eventually self sacrifices in order to save their fellow team members.
Turns out MC still lives…but as a vampire. They are saved by another vampire, who teaches MC the basics and help them control their thirst and amplified skills. (Now if you imagine a very well known hunter that has been turned into a vampire where their pre-turned skills are already pretty good. Imagine what a post-turned hunter would be like.)
Years later, MC lives as a vampire, but also as a dead person. Everyone MC has ever known has moved on. But after a series of events, MC is forced to confront their past, leaving the people they knew reeling.
There will be two ROs, one will be MC’s former team member and lover (sorry but having them as a former lover makes things so much more angsty and I love it). Is gender locked female.
The second ro is a vampire, and the one who saves and teaches MC and will be gender selectable.
I was inspired by @jezifster's recent question about non-gendered royal titles, and I put together this graphic to serve as a jumping off point for people writing monarchies in SFF !
Obviously this non-exhaustive list contains mainly western titles, all in English. Feel free add any on additional gender neutral terminologies that you can think of, including those from different languages and cultures!
