comrades !! I was gone for May Day (and then did not know what to post for days). This is very important to me. This May Day was my very first real life event of any sort. I return feeling very changed, with new perspectives. There is only one thing specifically that I want to say here: before this May Day, I had not been able to imagine just how beautiful this is. I can see for myself now that there is no sight more beautiful than that of so many people all coming together for the cause of humanity. The most life-changing part was when I got to march with them too. I asked at the last minute if I could march with them, a comrade shook my hand, and I was accepted into the group. While we were waiting, I took a picture of the Red flag of the person next to me. I made it my phone wallpaper to forever remind myself. We joined in and I could see hundreds of people ahead of me. I could see in the streets a whole sea of people. People who have united for the cause of ending war, oppression, suffering, a system that exploits us all. I got to shout with them, "Workers of the world unite!" and all of the other things. I had never met any of these people before, but I consider them all my comrades. <3
