Neve: Had a strong feeling.
Neve: I gave them an ink pot and some parchment with scribbled notes. It calmed them a little.
Neve: If they felt safe here… I couldn't make them leave.

Neve : So, Taash. Look, Lucanis and I are... Taash : I get it. Neve : Get what? Taash : He's a Crow. Dangerous. Deadly. You have to trust that he won't kill you every time he touches you. Neve : Oh, no. Taash : And you're a mage. He's a mage-killer. It's like you're his prey. Neve : Not what I'm into, but... thanks?

Two of my favorite things about Bellara are 1) she is wildly uncomfortable talking to children and 2) one of her pre-battle lines is "Oh, is it time again? Great!". Incredible female character. Huge nerd, excitable optimist, bad with kids, craves violence

1hour speedpaint! The timelapse is a speed up version of 25minutes of process! (Rendering phase! There was about 20 minutes of study/lineart and 10 of final editing/colour balance/playing with gradient maps, textures and layer modes haha) ✨

Just stumbled across your blog and am glad to see a fellow Neve fan. My question is what relationship of hers you like the most? Stuff like Neve/Bellara or Neve/Rana etc. Not in a ship context.
For example my favourite DAI one is Sera and Vivi bc of the banter etc. Just to clarify what I mean lol

outside of shipping, i really enjoy Neve and Taash or Neve and Emmrich! I like the way in which Neve is supportive of Taash and i really liked the cutscene with Neve and Emmrich when they’re questioning the skull/spirit about crimes, and it opens up a lot of scenarios in my head where they might join forces and work together after the events of the game! (side bonus of Neve and Manfred being best buds)

seen some posts about neve gallus and her terrible handwriting, so naturally i entered photo mode in her office to snoop around. didn’t find any terrible handwriting but i did find some unconventional messy doodles (lovingly)

this line always really got me from both sides. Lucanis is an assassin who grew up being tortured (by his own grandmother) in order to kill people. his entire family save two are dead because of the world he lives in. he’s the demon of vyrantium and specialises in blood mages and venatori. he has seen some of the worst that people can be, even before being imprisoned. then he is imprisoned, due to the betrayal of his own cousin/brother no less, and tortured and being fed a demon who lives within him. after that, he gets to see his home occupied and potentially blighted. but even after all of that, he can hold neve in such high regard that he can begin to think that maybe not everything is horrible and awful.
then from neve’s side we have somebody who has basically no faith in others to the point that she keeps everyone held at a distance. she doesn’t think or expect rook to help her even at the very beginning of her quest line and regardless of whether or not minrathous is saved. she takes small wins over the big ones that don’t exist. i always imagine that for her it feels like being in a boat with a hole in and trying to scoop the water out with a bucket. she has generally little faith and yet she’s the very person who gives someone theirs.
they are so beautiful together. they love and respect each other so much. i can’t wait to put them through the wringer soon
