A Patreon poll dictated what colors I'd use: 4 purples, 3 greens, 2 blues, 2 grey, 1 brown. Sometimes when I want to play with colors, the easiest thing to do is to draw something from a screenshot. Rise of the TMNT Donatello in his very canon hoodie.
I set the finished piece on my desk and was really amused by how well the colors matched everything already there.
Prismacolor pencils blended with a Prisma colorless blender.
I actually finished with my stream drawing DURING the stream this time?? And had time for two more little sketches!
This time around, I was focusing on practicing Raph! I love his design, but he is difficult for me to draw. The goal during this stream was to get more comfortable with drawing him and also just to practice the show style a little more. And I think this practice definitely helped!
Thank you to everyone who joined! I had a lovely time and I hope you all did too π

Let's test out some old fanfic over here.
I wrote this waaay back when, right after the episode when Pulverizer broke loose, while April still wasn't talking to the guys. Felt like a really rough time for my boy Donnie.
This was the result of having a "what if" thought on the dark and angsty side and then instantly picturing a rant about why that would NOT happen coming from the character. So I had to write it. Trigger warning for the suggestion of dark stuff, but things are actually okay. Check tags.
A mix of mostly canon stuff with a little bit of headcanon. I love the idea of Leo being a total pushover while he's half asleep, and I carry over the tech support job from TMNT 2007 the movie into all versions of TMNT, because I don't know how these guys have money for pizza otherwise.
TMNT 2012 - No Rest
A clank, or something breaking, a lowly muttered cuss. The sound of the broom on the floor, or something sliding into the trash, or a door shutting just a little too hard for a decent ninja.
Every night this week.
Leonardo glanced at the dim glow of his clock. Three in the morning. Again. Always around the same time. Tonight it was softly breathed cursing and the bathroom sink running that woke him up.
Somebody had to put a stop to this.
He peeled the covers away, not at all liking how cold it felt outside of them. There had better be a really good explanation for all this. He took up a sheathed sword from habit, but didnβt bother with any of the rest of his gear or his mask. Quiet as could be, Leo cracked open the door. Light spilled into the main chamber of the lair from the workshop. Just as heβd thought. Letting out a sigh, he let his feet lead the way, still reluctant to be leaving behind the warmth of his bed.
The barely audible whisper of music came as he drew closer β something classical. He wasnβt sure if it was Beethoven, but that sounded right. Donatello always liked to keep music going to break the silence when he was working late. Headphones compromised his own stealth, so heβd avoid those when he needed to work quietly. The music carried to just past the partially opened door, sure to not disturb the rest of the house.
Leo slipped into the workshop, squinting against the glare of the work lamps. βDonnie?β he said softly.
The room was empty. It hadnβt been for long, though β the screensaver on the computer hadnβt kicked on. There were a number of programs grinding away at their tasks, with status bars slowly climbing to completion, as if each were racing the other. A mutagen canister was sitting on the work table, one of the many Donnie had been experimenting with in the last few days. Or nights, more accurately. For weeks it was the same thing, the same obsession driving him.
But there was something new tonight.
The framed photo of April on the park swing had taken up a permanent home on the work table, but now it had a companion; a sheet of tattered paper, the edges ripped and showing signs of having been pinned to something. Leo did a double-take when he saw it, his half-asleep mind waking up a good deal more.
MISSING was printed in bold letters across the top. Under it was a photo of Timothy β not in the wannabee superhero Pulverizer costume they had always seen him in, but dressed in normal clothes, set on a speckled backdrop. The same smile as ever. A school photo, replicated in black and white. It was followed by all the information on his last known whereabouts and who to contact if one had any information.
βTheyβre looking for him.β
Leonardo jumped and turned at the sudden sound of Donatelloβs voice. His brother stood in the doorway, meeting his gaze. There was worry in those eyes, and a hurt so deep that he couldnβt even fathom it. βHis parents,β Donnie breathed. βTheyβre trying to find him. Andβ¦ and theyβre not going to.β
Leo had to turn away from that heartbreaking look. He let his eyes fall to the missing poster again, then to the frozen mutant in the corner. Donnie had crafted a new containment unit around Pulverizer after his escape, intent on preserving the cryogenics until he could find a cure. None of them could understand why heβd decided to make it so he could still see the grotesque creature inside.
Until now.
This was his motivation. They kept him going, long into the night, the people he had to help.
Leo was shaken from his thoughts as Donnie stepped over, stooping to look at the computer screen. He swayed slightly, tapping away in slow motion at the keyboard, the exhaustion clear. Leonardo leaned on the table next to him, laying his sheathed sword across it as he watched his brotherβs sluggish movements. Before he could say anything, however, Donnie spoke again, a tiny whisper that held the entire weight of the world in it.
βItβs all my fault.β
βDonnie, no,β Leo told him. He wanted to be firmer about it. He had a hard time sounding anything but kind after just waking up, though. Words tended to come out in a sleepy sort of understanding tone that didnβt always fit what he wanted to say. βItβs not your fault, and we all know youβre doing your best to fix everything.β
Donnieβs fist clinched on the tabletop, speaking with the same sort of devastation, βThen why does it feel like itβs my fault?β
βLook,β Leo put a hand on his shoulder, βI know itβs been hard for you β April and Timmy and everything β but you canβt keep pushing yourself like this. Youβre gonna burn out ifββ
Whatever else he was going to say fell away. He noticed Donatelloβs hand pressed to the tabletop, the way the wrist was wrapped. It wasnβt the usual sports bindings he wore. They were instead replaced by fresh, white bandages, wrapped all across the left wrist. Leoβs mind started to race, trying to remember if Donnie had been hurt in training, on patrol, anything. Anything but what his first instinct said.
βDonnie,β he asked carefully, βWhat happened? Your wristβ¦β
His brother glanced down, βItβs nothing.β
βDonnie,β the name came out just short of a snap. There was a sharp blink of shock as Donatello finally looked to him, the surprising harshness in the warning tone rather uncharacteristic of a half-asleep Leo. βWhat happened?β he insisted.
βIt was an accident.β
βReally? God, Donnie, really?β
βWhatβWhat do you think happened, Leo?β
Leonardo opened his mouth to answer and then closed it, the words refusing to come, but the disbelief and accusation loud and clear in his expression.
Donnieβs shoulders slumped slowly. He half asked and half stated, βYou think I did this to myself on purpose.β
βWell? Did you?β
βNo!β the word sprang from him a touch louder than was appropriate for three in the morning, and he compensated for it by hissing out the rest through his teeth, βIβJeez, why wouldβAre you insane?β
βWhat else am I supposed to think? Youβve been hating on yourself for weeks, youβve hardly slept in daysββ
βIβm working,β Donnie stressed the importance of this. βWould I be working ifβ¦ if I was going toβ¦β He shook his head and suddenly stood straight, pulling Leo into a hug. βStop looking at me like that.β
βLike what?β Leo asked in surprise.
βLike you think Iβm about to die.β
βWell,β there was a pause as he tried to think of a retort and couldnβt find one. He loosely hugged his brother in return instead.
βIt was an accident,β Donnie reassured him, taking a step back, holding his shoulders. βBunsen burner. It caught my wrist wrapsβwhich, by the way, would be a horrible tool for an attempted suicide, I really donβt recommend it to anyone. Iβm fine, I promise. Dying isnβt going to fix anything about this situation, believe me, Iβve got no delusions about that. Iβm needed here.β
Leo let his breath out, shoulders relaxing as Donnie released them. βGood. Iβm glad you know that.β
A joyless little scoff of a laugh escaped him. βKnow that? I live that. Iβm just glad you know it, being that I get no thanks around here.β There was a smirk and a sidelong glance before he prodded at the computer again. βYou would all be dead without me.β
βWhoa, now,β Leo couldnβt hold the chuckle back. βI wouldnβt go that far.β
βOh, I would,β Donnie stated simply with a nod.
βThatβs a little extremeββ
βNot really,β he continued stating the facts in a tone that could not be argued with, βWho wired half the electricity in here and siphons it off the grid in ways no one will pick up? Me. Who hooked up all new water purification systems to the place when he was only eight? Also me. Who makes sure the heating, cooling and ventilation systems are always functioning at top capacity? Me again.β
Leo shook his head, but was smiling at Donnieβs improved mood. βOkay.β
He didnβt stop. βHot water heater maintenance, tapping into the satellite TV, hooking this place up to function with satellite in the first place, pirating phone service, making sure that works underground and canβt be traced as wellβ¦β
βYouβve made your point.β
ββ¦installing an IP scrambler on the internet connection so no one can track that, fixing everything that can possibly be broken between Mikey and Raphβs rampaging around β including property damage and physical damage to themselves β keeping a part-time tech support job so we have money for food and incidentals, maintaining an alias out in the world and obtaining false citizenship under that alias so I can keep a bank accountββ Finally his words cut off, this time with a curse and then a prompt apology for it. He held his forehead, slumping dramatically over the laptop.
βWhat is it?β Leo was almost hesitant to ask.
βWith everything going on,β he groaned out, βI forgot about that stupid healthcare bill! My fake identity needs to sign up and pay for that or else Iβll be penalized, which is completely unfair, it is literally something I will never be able to use, which is what other people are saying about it, but they donβt even know the half of it, because theyβre actually human, and if I ever actually tried to use the healthcare Iβm gonna be paying for, Iβd be carted off to a lab andββ
Leo cleared his throat, βBreathe, Donnie.β
A very deep breath. A pause that continued to be filled with the soft sound of classical music. βOh, and I keep track of taxes on all that,β he decided to end his list of very important things he did for the family.
Leo patted him on the shoulder. βYes. You do a lot for us. Now I need for you to do something for yourself and get some sleep.β
Again the classical music took over the conversation. Donnie gave the keyboard a few final taps before he carefully shut the laptop, silencing it for the evening. βYou know, suddenly, sleep doesnβt sound like a half bad idea.β
Taking up his sword again, he motioned for Donnie to walk in front of him, not about to leave him alone where he could get distracted. Leo paused in the doorway, a hand on the light switch, looking back over his shoulder at the work table β the photo, the missing poster, the laptop, the Bunsen burner, the mutagen. Donnie looked back as well, following the train of thought in the way he tended to do. βItβs a lot to take in,β he said softly, βIsnβt it?β
βYeah,β Leo frowned. βIf thereβs anything I can do to helpβ¦β
βJust make sure I actually sleep now and then.β
βOnly if you donβt try to bite my head off,β he flipped the switch, βwhen I say itβs time for lights out.β
Guys, I don't know what two out of these four files are and I'm scared.
I thought I would go dig in my old drive to find a short TMNT 2012 fic that I wrote (No Rest) to see if it still holds up enough to post it over here. I only know what the first two files are. What did I write, y'all???
... do I dare open them and see if I should post them?

Inspired by 1) my childhood dog, who would immediately start chewing faster if anyone noticed him eating non edible things and 2) my brother, who ate a beetle that one time for no other reason than to prove he could.
We also had a moth infestation once when I was a kid, and every time I went to check if the cereal was covered in moths or not, that same brother would tease me to eat it anyways for the extra protein >:p
My childhood dog was a big olβ Rottweiler! Lovely dog, so gentle even when my ten year old self was trying to pry paper towels out from between his teeth lol
I reblogged this last month, tagged it, and said βmight as well see if it works.β I used this video as a reference to find all the forms that i needed (which is A LOT, especially if youβre a dependent) and sent them through the mail, not really allowing myself to hope.
dude.
$2,714 of medical debt from my top surgery - gone. im shaking this was such a weight on me for 2 years and it fucking worked. what the fuck.
Hospitals like to hide these policies under a lot of successive links in obscure places, so if you don't see anything right away, keep looking! Get friends to help! Make it a scavenger hunt. A game where you're assassins sent to slit capitalism's throat

The lovely @trilobitepunch draws and does cutouts for ROTTMNT.
And so I commissioned trilo to do THIS:
Because clearly, thelaundrybitch needs Leon being hung out to dry on the clothesline ππ
LMAO!!! Donnie's judgy face is EVERYTHING.
Below is my silly snippet that the OG cutout of "hung up" Leon brought about (along with a couple of my own OCs):
For context:
Sunshine is my OG Laundry bitch.
Liz is a Celestial Guardian with two deadly chained daggers (Luna & Solaris), who can and will beat ass should the occasion call for it.
Intro: D finds Liz sitting in a lounge chair, wearing a cute little sundress and a big brimmed hat, sipping a pomegranate margarita. He looks from her to Leon and inquires how his dumdum brother ended up in such a predicament.
Liz: "Well, you seeβ¦."
π π π π π π π
Premise:
Leonardo has tried to use the washing machine again. It always results in suds flooding the entire laundry room, leaving Sunshine to clean the mess. Once again, Sunshine has indeed cleaned up Leon's mess, and as she's finishing up, Leon comes strolling in with that signature smirk of his on full display.
Leon: Placing a basket of laundry on the folding table and knocking over 3 piles of clean towels onto the floor. "Oh, Hey Sunshine! You look awfully bubbly today."
Sunshine: Completely unimpressed: "Leonardo. I swear to pizza supremeβ¦"
Angelo: Stands up in shock, hands flying to his mouth as he had been helping Sunshine clean the disaster GASPS, "She used the almighty's name in vain!"
Sunshine: "If I find you creeping around in my laundry room again, I'ma hang your ass out to dry."
Leon: Smug smirk.
Sunshine: "I'm not playing. You will be dangling on the high line. Flapping in the breeze like a wet rag."
Leon: smirking "Awwwβ¦ C'monβ¦"
Sunshine: Glaring
Leon: snickering "I'd like to see you try, Sunny D."
Sunshine: Chases him out of the laundry room with the rug-beating bat while he cackles
~3 days later~
Leon: attempting to do a load of laundry because he got a stain on D's favorite sweatshirt when he spilled D's coffee, being a reckless idiot.
Sunshine: Glare
Leon: "Oh, hey, Sunny-"
Liz: Steps out from behind Sunshine and drops Luna and Solaris to their chains.
Leon: "Well fuck."
π π π π π π π
D: Looking up at Leon, "I should leave you there." Looks back at Liz. "Unfortunately, I need him."
Liz: "With all due respect, D⦠Absofuckinglutely not."
D: "He must pay for his crimes against the spilling of coffee on my favorite hoodie."
Liz: Smiles wickedly and hands her drink to D. "Well then, I rescind my declination. Allow me to assist."
Leon: "Eugh, boy."
Thank you so much for the beautiful cutouts @trilobitepunch ! They make me smile every time I sit at my desk!
