This is my OC rotisserie chicken, otherwise known as my rendition of Chompy in Rise!

Quick lore drop:

okay, in this au/timeline/whatever Leo spends a LOT longer time trapped in the prison dimension. Give or take 1 week.

Here comes Chompy: Leo smashes into the kitchenette of an alien spaceship; thankfully not Kraang.

Inside, he discovers a walk in fridge that is ironically, a little warmer than the outside air, so he hides inside and hopes to pizza supreme that Kraang Prime doesn't find him. (Subtle foreshadowing) While he is mourning his imminent death in this fridge, Leo discovers a sci-fi canister of... something, stashed away and hidden from sight underneath one of the storage shelves. He fumbles with it until it opens with a the tiniest bit of ninpo energy, and OUT COMES CHOMPY!!

Well, not chompy. But a baby. A human looking baby?? Wtf?? That is until the baby opens it's four bug eyes and oookay, nevermind. Not a human baby. Whew?

Anyway Leo is regretting opening this thing immensely as he realizes that: fuck, now I have to be responsible for a baby WHILE ALSO running from my own painful demise?? But cowabummer, he gets really attatched.

But heres the kicker: This isn't just any alien baby, its actually alien LIVESTOCK. Yeah! What the fuck? Basically, this baby is the last on an alien species who was stored on the ship as emergency rations. This species grows incredibly fast on very little resources (mystics), and their lifespans total out at about a week (but that is pushing it). They are meant to provide live feed for carnivorous alien species and are supposed to be consumed before they reach adulthood/full sentience... though some aliens think that makes them tastier? idk.

So here we have Leo. Teenager, brutally injured, bleeding, cold, dying, saddled with a baby he doesn't want, crushed by the responsibility and the fact that the baby being here means the Kraang can find the baby which is... not ideal. So imagine his surprise when he goes to sleep one night and the next morning Chompy (oh, that's what he named her by the way. It's what it said on the carton... kind of.) has gone from fully immobile infant to TODDLING AROUND ON TWO FEET. Leo has an "oh shit?? when did you grow so big?" moment but is quickly cut off as Chompy starts WAILING for food.

Panic ensues.

I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

Inspired by 1) my childhood dog, who would immediately start chewing faster if anyone noticed him eating non edible things and 2) my brother, who ate a beetle that one time for no other reason than to prove he could.

We also had a moth infestation once when I was a kid, and every time I went to check if the cereal was covered in moths or not, that same brother would tease me to eat it anyways for the extra protein >:p

The wrestling was legit and yes, one did lift the other all the way off the ground to stop them from putting their whole arm into scalding steam. Unfortunately for them, the buns were cold by the time they stopped trying to one up each other lol
