bad reputation !

she had always been an optimistic kind , often going above and beyond for those she cared about. she had never considered the advantage others may take. "i hadn't really thought about it, it's in my nature to care a little too much." she replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

       it's that kindness that will get the other killed,  rosalie thinks;  but who is she to relay such information to the human ?  it's none of her business.   "that's cute,"   is what the vampire settles on,  deciding it's perhaps the  least  negative thing she could say.   "been like that since you were a kid, i assume?"

         "i mean, if you put it that way, then i'm babysitting all of my siblings."   is she a good babysitter of her siblings ?  debatable.  considering they don't listen to a single thing she says,  go off about her attitude,  etcetera.  what's a girl to do ?  they've all been alive too long,  she doesn't take it personally.  they don't take her personally,  so she calls it a balance.   "really? it just seemed ... it seemed all natural with emmett. when you know, you know, i guess."   and she knew quite quickly.  of course,  it helped he had a pretty face.   "carlisle cullen. i'm rosalie."

" right. " she did not sound convinced, pursing her lips as she gazed around the bar. "how about a sours? to match your sour mood? " she spoke with raised brows , unable to withhold her temper.

         "only if the liquor is over 5k a bottle. otherwise, still not interested."  call her picky,  call her pretentious  -  rosalie's certainly both,  and she'll own up to it.   "you're attempt is sweet, though. cute, really. reminds me of this kitten i saw by a dumpster a few winters ago."  // @thebravebartenders.

" your snobby attitude is going to give you hives. " said breezily, amused, because of course she never takes anything rosalie says too seriously. " you'll get my happiness out of it, which i know is exceedingly important to you. and lots of compliments when i'm proven right. "

          "not before jasper does."  and did she take the opportunity to bring the man up ?  maybe.  but between her and alice  -  she thinks it's a conversation that needs to happen.  rosalie supposes she'll be playing barbie and therapist for the day,  and takes it to the bathroom,  leaving the door adjar.   "whomst you better start talking about, if you want to see how i look in it,"  rosalie calls out,  slipping off the current top she's wearing.  // @perce1ve.

          "trust me, it'd be blatantly obvious if i wasn't okay. i'm not the type to shy away when i need help."   and she doubts she'd want jessica's help,  either;  but that's not a jab worth saying.  "you should spare your energy. people around here will take advantage and suck it all up."  // @wishfullynaive.

        blinks,  plucks a rose from the bush,  and twirls it against her nose before looking at her  ...  brother,  for a lack of better wording.   "and here i thought you knew better than to compare me to our idiot brother. i suppose you were bound to disappoint me eventually."   vampire shrugs.   "guess we were both wrong."  // @crescentxscarred.

          something of a sneer peppers rosalie's features,  art-like features downturning,  displeasure clear on her entire face as a whole.  rosalie's never been one to shy away from showing how she feels.  it's dishonest to herself.   "i don't like it. so if you accidentally do it again, i'll have to refrain from acknowledging your existence."   something tells rosalie she won't exactly have a hard time with that.  just look how long she's ignored edward for !  it's like an art for her,  really.    "can you trust anyone in this town?"   the vampire is referring to,  of course,  the plethora of supernatural creatures around  -  her vampire senses aren't exactly dull,  and she's been around for a hot minute.   "besides. i should be asking you that."  because who will look at the two of them and decide he's the prey ?  

           all rosalie does is shrug.   "i have standards when it comes to what i put in my body."   and cheap pity alcohol from the local bartender ?  it's not her thing.   "sorry."   she's not.  and it shows.

        it's unfortunate carlisle and esme are such sticklers for the rules,  but rosalie's always found ways around things  -  ways her mother would look the other way.  she simply has to not spill blood.   "babysitting. i like kids."   which is insane,  considering rosalie's demeanor around most people  -  but the woman really is good with kids.  loves them more than she does most people in her life.  and she grins,  because she'll always happily talk about emmett.   "i found one of the good ones. they're rare, despite the amount of bodies running around on this earth."   and despite the amount of vampires,  too.  "oh? what do you work with? maybe you know my father."

he  makes  his  way  over  to  stand  behind  rosalie  ,  arms  wrapping  around  her  smaller  frame  .  “  it’s  just  hard  to  keep  track  of  names  .  jane  is  too  common  of  a  name  .  ”  but  a  vampire  twin  that  has  it  out  for  his  family  ?  that’s  not  a  detail  you  can  miss  .  emmett  lets  out  a  bark  of  laughter  .  “  oh  i’m  sure  he’s  had  ENOUGH  of  me  getting  all  star  by  smash  mouth  stuck  in  his  head  .  i  guess  i  could  annoy  him  with  my  fantasy  football  team  too  .  ”  he’ll  shake  his  head  fondly  .  “  if  that’s  a  valid  enough  reason  for  you  babe  ,  it’s  a  valid  enough  reason  for  me  too  .  we  can  even  send  bella  a  selfie  .  ”  /  @reputalie

        a soft smile grows on ruby lips,  and he's always found a way to keep herself tenderhearted when he was around.  it was simply the emmett effect.   "we'll have to take it up with all the parents in the world, then. start a petition, let them know our opinions."   and rosalie thinks,  personally,  she can be very convincing !  whether or not she restorts to threats  ...  that is a different manner entirely on it's own.  "maybe you can change it up. play WHAM! ? last christmas is in season. i'm sure he'd love it."   he wouldn't,  and personally,  rosalie would look forward to seeing those reactions.  maybe she'll even ask jane to take a few videos.  to save.  for safe keeping !  arms will move up to his shoulder,  rest where they belong,  and she grins up at him.   "we'll buy the tickets then. and ... maybe lets not tell the family until we're on the plane. wouldn't want them to think it's a family trip."

as far as the whole ' extra-ordinarily dumb and freakish accidents ' thing goes, the most recent added entry for consideration - namely ' walking into a door due to being distracted by someone bella could only describe as preternaturally beautiful ' - was surely at the top of her list. the collision snaps her back to reality in an instant, subtle pain begins to bloom on her shoulder, and embarassment sets in which she tries to conceal as much as possible by letting her hair cover her face. then, deciding that her hands need something to do, she she tucks a strand behind her ear. when she turns around - to sneak another look - bella, to her horror, suddenly catches the other's eye. " i .... hope you didn't see that ? " ( @reputalie )

        if this had happened during her phase of carrying around a video camera  ...  this girl may have perhaps ended up on america's funniest videos.  but alas;  she's matured,  grown as a person,  rosalie would say  -  and there would be no such submissions.  "i saw it,"  rosalie confirms;  because though she will not let the video live on the internet forever,  she is immortal,  and perhaps the memory would go into her own brain's folder of clumsiest humans she's come across during her centuries on this earth.  head tilts,  eyes flicker to the other's shoulder,  an obvious change in how she carries herself.   "you should put some ice on that. i'd offer more advice, but that's about all i know on medical issues. my father would be more useful - though i do hope this little blunder of yours doesn't need a hospital trip."

" but you'll look so good. " holds the dress up higher, as if a difference in height or the fabric physically touching rosalie will make her case that much more appealing. " at least try it on. for me ! "

          "it's going to give me hives."   this is,  of course,  utter bullshit from the vampire;  because vampires don't get hives,  obviously.  but alice has always been able to handle her harsh words,  and her moody tendencies,  no ?   "of course it'll look good on me. i'm me."  rosalie says with a scoff,  reaches out the dress,  fingers brushing against delicate fabric.   "what do i get out of it?"

she blinks. "that's the only kind of distraction you want? i feel like that's a bit limiting," rosalie admits, head tilting to the side in consideration. "but i am known for being picky ... stubborn ... and married. so i suppose it hasn't crossed my mind." and it's actually so nice not pretending to be a high school student anymore. it all felt so ... juvenile now. she'll nod to answer the blonde's question. "came here with my family, yea. we needed a change of pace. been here for about ... a month or so? how new are you?" / @vampyredefender.

''There's still time to improve on those skills.'' Lydia teased with a soft smile. Curious about her she tried to read her more she seemed like an old soul. And yet she was so radiant and young. "i fear my beauty might be too much for the screen." and it's not wrong, exactly. she's been known to literally bring men to their knees - and as she should ! but rosalie hale isn't looking for fame or attention this late in her life.
