It's hard to pick a scene... I feel like that whole fic is my favorite thing I've written, and I don't know if it's because it's my most recent one/my most mature one/or the one that feels most personal to me.

That scene you picked is a good choice, anon. It felt raw even as I wrote it. I also remember wanting to add that 'baby' in there, it felt so important, for all it represented. Funny how a single word can carry so much weight, huh?

I think a favorite scene of mine is the one in the train station, where they stand on opposite platforms, looking at each other; and then as their trains move away, also in opposite directions. It felt cinematic but also symbolic to the distance between them and the inevitability of them going different ways. But also how Elsa simply understood everything!! That she could not run away from her love for Anna, no matter how much she tried.

Oh and the very last scene of the fic. It felt so incredibly final (to me) to end that chapter the way the first chapter ended: with Elsa bathed in light...

Hey, I love that you asked! I have mixed feelings about f2. I loved the music and the animation and the interactions between the sisters. I even liked (to a point) the whole thing about the elements and Elsa being some sort of 5th element that links both worlds. But that's about it...

I think f2 had potential and could've gone to great places, but instead (to me) it was pretty lackluster, story-wise. I mean you have 2 mysteries here: their parents' journey AND more importantly, where Elsa got her powers. She was born with them, but why and to what end?? Why does Anna have no powers? In my opinion, what we got instead was a potentially solid explanation delivered in a very rushed and watered-down way. There was too much focus placed on the whole engagement thing (don't get me started as a shipper how much I hated that). And the whole separation bit at the end just felt, idk, unjustified. Give me a good reason why Elsa must give up the crown and go live in the forest and I'll take it (like a fucking hard pill because I want my sisters together - but I'll take it). Don't give me an ooc reason that makes me go 'excuse me what the fuck' at the end of the movie. I'm not saying "Elsa belongs with Anna" but...... Elsa lowkey, at this point in their journeys, kinda belongs with Anna.

WHAT I WOULD HAVE LOVED!!!: An honest-to-god journey where Elsa AND Anna, TOGETHER, solve the damn problem. This parallel-journeys thing worked the first time; the second one not so much. There's no need to separate the sisters every time and have them fix something on their own. If the whole point is their sisterly love (wink wink) then keep them fucking together and let them save the day together. It's so simple??? Or if you're going to separate them, have Elsa save Anna for once ffs. And don't ever ever give Kristoff another solo song.

Anyway I'll use this moment to share that my future fic will be canon divergent, will be very mature and lowkey tragic and that I intend to separate the sisters like a hypocritical asshole that I can be. BUT if you trust me like you always have, then I promise to make it worthwhile. I also promise to dtart working on this around the time f3 releases.
