One thing that I would love to see is a Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time TV series. There is easily enough material there for 3 seasons, the first season or so being about the childhood part of the game, culminating to the drawing of the master sword.
The first episode can have a bit of a back story, showcasing some of the war in Hyrule and Link's mother bringing him to the forest, the episodes after that it can follow events of the game, throwing in some back story from Link's earlier years growing up in the forest with the Kokiri.
After he gets the Master Sword it can then go from Link finding out he's older, talking to the Sage about what's happened to him and a bit more of the history of Hyrule, then, upon leaving the realm of the sages, walking in shock from seeing the castle in such disarray, and eventually leading him fighting off a bunch of redeads until he escapes the castle and staring around in shock at the change in Hyrule.
From there you can lead a darker season of him finding everything wrong with the land, and only lightning up in episodes where he's fixed that part of the land, or on some side-quest thing when he's helping people.
Depending on the length of the seasons and the pace of the episodes, you can do a few seasons here. Ideally I'd want after the second season him finding out that he can go back to his childhood form as the season finale. The seasons after that can be a better hybrid of childhood and adulthood, giving a lighter note to the series but with a dark overtone as the lighter parts are constantly shadowed by the knowledge of the darker future of Ganondorfs reign.
The last season would be after Link claims all the medallions and goes to Ganon's castle, him finding his way in the tower and the final repitoire between them all, leading to the final battle between Link and Ganon, and the end episode would be ganon's defeat, Link going back in time and the future Sages and residents that Link has met celebrating their liberation, and in the past would be Link waking up and travelling to Hyrule Castle to warn them of Ganondorfs evil plot, just like in the end of the game.
As you see, it would be easy to plan out, and actually would cover a bunch of seasons. It would be alot better than a movie as you wouldn't have to cut anything out for time, and indeed with a series you can add longer segments on parts and explore more of the world, go more indepth with the whole thing if you really wanted to.
That's my idea atleast. Probably would never happen but it would be cool in my opinion
