Akashiβs healing with a S/O (Headcanon)
Alright, get those tissues ready because Iβll be discussing Akashiβs difficult childhood and how I think a S/O could help him.
-This boy has never had a childhood, letβs get that straight. So if you can think of an activity that he missed out on thatβs not too childish to insult his intelligence, I think having an occasionalΒ βplaydateβ could be a good way to cheer up his inner child.Β -Akashi might say heβs into classy girls, but I think heβll fall for a playful girl instead. This boy is so pressured into being what his father wants him to be, that I suspect Akashiβs ideal girl is an ideal he was raised with to want, but not really who he should be with. Heβs often surrounded by humorous/quirky characters but its canon he cannot tell a joke to save his own life. I bet that comes from the lack of being able to develop his own playful self as a child, and that internally he does misses this part in his life so he gravitates to these kind of people. If you ever read the books behind the Netflix show Shadowhunters, I feel like Isabelle Lightwoodβs drunken tirade about falling in love with Simon in the books describes what Iβm trying to say perfectly: she can have any boy she wants, but the one she has fallen for isnβt the most good looking, rich or dangerous, but heβs the one who can make her laugh which she never thought sheβd want in a partner. -Art. Having half-Asian cousins, I know how strict Asian parents can be and I can definitely see his father witholding him as a child from activities like (finger)painting.Β If youβre a bit artistic, teach this boy how to paint on a date. If he were to make a stain somewhere and feel bad about it, use your brush to paint your own face in an attempt to make him laugh. I think heβll appreciate it and afterwards, would wipe your face all romantically whilst proclaiming you shouldnβt smear toxins all over your face.Β -If you come from a dysfunctional, difficult homelife yourself and are open about it with him, the mutual trauma would give a very intense bond. Wether itβs a good or bad kind of intense is up to Akashi and you. (same goes for bonding if you have a mental illness, it could be a supportive relationship of deep understanding or a toxic one of shared red flags, it depends on the two of you) -In the good case of intense, the two of you will have your occasional, its us against the world moments were the two of you hide away from your families like two little kittens seeking shelter together in the rain. All the while you and Akashi would bite down the desire to run away together.Β -Considering heβs one of the implied animals lovers of KNB (he has his horse), I feel like heβd be over the moon if youβd show up with an emotional support animal. And, because he doesnβt likes disobedient dogs and those eyes of his, my guts are screaming emotional support cat.Β -If youβd be there to support him with his mental illness, heβll appreciate it more then youβll ever know.Β -Heβs not used to someone taking care of his emotional needs, and with his sheltered life he can be a bit clueless about how to take care of others problems. Other then playful, youβre going to need to be patient with him, and teach him a thing or two.Β -It would be that patient, supportive side of yours that would convince him of how serious you view your relationship with him. -His father might hate you for trying to undo the damage he put on Akashi and not being a perfect, elegant heiress. Depending on the stage of Akashi breaking free from the ideals of his home, he might dump you out of pressure against his will, but if heβs grown enough to chose for his own happiness he WILL defy his father for you. His father has chosen everything about his past except for basketball, if Akashi has reached the point he cares about his personal happiness he will not let his father pick his future.Β -Youβre his rock, and he will do everything in his power to be a good supportive boyfriend back. -Because Akashi will not take for granted the one person who fights for his personal happiness. Heβd attempt to buy the freaking moon if it would make you smile, and would allow you to crash over at his place any time you needed him.
