I do think Sirius is gay, but in my opinion the label queer suits him so much more. Gay is his orientation, but queer encompasses all of his identity. Queer is his rebellion, his non-cormformity, his gender fluidity, his pride, his role as black sheep of his family, his refusal adhere to social convention and expectations just because he's been told he should. He's gay, but more then that, he's incredibly queer.
