such a good listener hard to find those sometimes
Advice on Endings
I hate ending my stories. I will drag a story on long after it should have ended even though I know it should be done with. If anyone else struggles as well, here is a list of the different types of endings that are common.
Full Circle â Mirror the beginning of the story, show how the tone has shifted from start to end
Bittersweet â Character wins at the cost of something else, creates emotional depth
Emotional resolution â Focuses more on the growth of the characters than the events of the story
Twist â reveal something that changes the readers perspective or understanding
Open â doesnât answer all the questions or solve all the conflicts of the story, leaving room for interpretation
Quiet â Subtle, reflective ending rather than a dramatic event
Sacrifice â The character has to give something up to achieve a greater goal
Hopeful â Despite the events of the story, there is a distinct sense that everything will be okay
Consequence â Shows how the characters choices throughout the story impact the world or their relationship
Character choice â centers on a decision that defines who the character has become through the story
unfortunately my story needs a middle. i personally think this is excessive
THISSSSSSS!!!!!!! curate your own internet experience. block them because theyâre allergic to peanut butter, block them because they have what you donât, block them because they dislike your favorite food, block them because you donât like their layout, block them because you can.
blocking is NOT a personal attack against someone. itâs you curating your own internet experience and catering for your comfort, and you have every right to do that.
you, yes, you!!! you CANNOT tell other people to censor themselves for your own comfort and personal likings. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canât post. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canât write. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canât draw. BUT you CAN block them for whatever reason.
that block button is offered to you for free. use. it.

âI want to write a fic about this but I donât think anybody will be interested in itâ ummm hello excuse me maâam what do you mean you donât think anybody will be interested in it??? YOU. YOU ARE INTERESTED IN IT???? write it because YOU are interested in it and YOU want to write about it. fanfic writing should always be first and foremost about YOUR enjoyment, not other peopleâs.

Doing a final project in my stats class, we have to pick a subject and collect data on it. We need at least 100 data points, and I figured this blog is big enough that a poll on here could get to that pretty easily!
Doing my project on if itâs more likely to be born in certain months :]
I have gotten the OK from my teacher to collect data using a Tumblr poll, btw. Iâm also going to have to send her this post as proof of where I got the data from / proof I didnât just make up the numbers. So. Behave
in the beginning, the trump assassination attempts were spaced by twenty four weeks. then twelve, then six, then every two weeks. the last one, at the white house, was a week. in four days we could be seeing a trump assassination attempt every eight hours until they are coming every four minutes. we should witness a double event within seven days,

Ryan Goslingâs career has just been one long quest to climb the Warner Bros water tower
that man has been trying to climb this tower since he was 16. he has asked multiple times, and every time they said no, but now heâs famous enough & variety was able to convince them to do a shoot on the tower. it all led here. it was all for this.
Iâm obsessed with the implication that this was a coming-of-age ritual where a boy becomes a man, like a bar mitzvah
thought one: yummy yummy
thought two: orange juice in my tummy
The trick is to be more curious than you're scared.
Character duo where one *remembers I donât like fitting characters into trope boxes* is a completely fleshed out and realised person *remembers treating characters as real people and not story devices written with intent is bad* who is written by the author and *remembers death of the author* uh. And *fumbles and drops my pile of queue cards* ah fuck wait no *the menacing horse* what was that.
âscientists donât want you knowâ is a phrase that always cracks me up because if you actually meet a scientist they will be shaking and crying like an overstimulated chihuahua with the need to let you know

queer allies as a rule have got to get more normal about the idea that trans women can have periods
keep in mind i am not a biologist in any way but my understanding of it basically goes
the period is all hormones. if you have the hormones but not the uterus you can still get everything except the bleeding from the uterus. yknow because your body can't detect that one peripheral but the rest of the program still works
the actual cramps and pain aren't from the uterus they're from the muscles around the uterus squeezing it, which you have even if you don't have a uterus
so if you're a trans girl you can't shed the uterine lining obviously but you can still get things like fatigue, cravings, mood swings, back cramps, and breast tenderness
this isn't really a thing common to trans women either. there's a bunch of ways cis women and other uterus havers can have bloodless periods too (stress, diet, birth control, anovulation, apparently thyroid issues sometimes) no matter what some terfs on reddit want you to think lmao
I am a mental health professional whose specialty is working with trans clients, including trans women and nonbinary clients taking estrogen/progesterone/etc. They do often have period symptoms, and Iâm as likely to have to take into account their menstrual cycles on mood, energy, etc as I am my clients who have uterine-bleeding cycles. Iâve had a trans woman client that I suspect developed PMDD based on symptoms (and it runs in her family too), but the science to understand and help that hasnât caught up yet.
Donât let TERFs fool youâthere is so much to gender, biology, and hormones than you can imagine. We are STILL learning more as gender-affirming care becomes more common. Gender and sex and biology are more than âif you have these parts your body reacts X way.â
What do you mean âchatâ is now referring to ChatGPT and not twitch chat? What? What? What the fuck? No?
When I address chat I am speaking to a presumed Greek chorus of real human people shitposting on their lunch break, not a machine that devours lakes to covert electricity into slop.
