Old cupboards and armoires are perfect fixtures to display items from clothing to fine china. They add height, and dress up empty wall space. Find old cupboards at estate sales, second hand stores, or even the alley.

When creating displays, add the height in the middle and work your way down. This way you end up with no dead space. The customer’s eye will first focus in the center of your display, directly on the product.

Create your own piece of art. Chandelier above is made with wooden forks and spoons, hot glue, circle grids, and ribbon. All can be found at a local craft store.

Instead of rugs, ground and boarder in-aisle statements with duct tape. It comes in many different color and is easy to peel off when changing out displays.

Hang baskets upside down on rope. A cost effective way to make a chandelier.

Pick up old tables in garage sales, estate sales, or even in the alley. When cut in half, they add height and a unique element to any display. Drill them into a wall or hutch as shown above. They can be reused to display clothing, accessories, home decor, food...etc. There is no limit to the uses.

A pop of color- the product really stands out against this chartreuse wall. Dont be afraid to accent a wall with a bold color, especially for the spring/summer. Customers will gravitate toward it.

Cover forms in moss. Moss is inexpensive, and lasts a long time if kept sealed. It's a great way to add color and life into any display.

Do you have any unique pieces of clothing to display? Set it up as a fashion show. Use stantions or place mannequins on runways to prevent from touching. Clothing featured is by designers such as Channel, Versace, Oscar De La Renta, and Issey Miyake.

The importance of repetition- 3 mugs, glasses, spoons, vases…etc, enhances any display. With all the product shown in the trends, the repetition and placement of color and pattern gives this display cohesiveness. In the end the results will be more effective with your target customers.

It's the details that count. Show how the product will be used. Empty vases, stands, and domes aren't as appealing as ones with actual (fake) food and flowers. Give the customer the idea on how this product can accentuate their home.

Create your own trend to sell products that have had a long shelf life. A 70s theme trend using crumpled up paper bags to form piece signs, and stacked wood tables to add height. This pop-up shop contains jewelry, handbags, belts, scarves, and clothing hand picked to feature.

Fall home accents- an old ladder can create height and is the perfect prop to house product. When creating an aisle display, be sure it is visually appealing from all angles, especially consistent with traffic flow.

Be consistent in designers. When showcasing luggage, stick with clothing and props the specific luggage consumer would wear. Create an image in the consumers head-a hotel lobby...a vacation destination...etc.

Jungle themed dinnerware display- Drill holes into styrofoam, and paint to represent logs. Fake greenery can be purchased in bulk and reused for many different themes and seasons.
