I'm such a sucker for the self aware video game character trope, turning over in my head the way House would react to finding out he's not real...
I think when confronted with the amount of criticism that's leveled against his """governing style""" online would dig in even harder and insist it's the right way. If he did manage to consider how unstable/unsustainable some of his practices are, I think he'd be able to pivot only because he can blame it on the "idiotic writing."
I guess what's interesting to me is that he's limited by the confines of the narrative. We can't have a complex discussion about the destruction of the BOS because he doesn't exist for that... So the idea of having open ended conversations without the consequences of the endgame is interesting to me.
Also, the ways his obsession with preservation would then transfer to Keeping The Game Running 🤔 and how he'd negotiate with the player once he realizes the courier is just an avatar for them, something that can be resurrected as many times as necessary to kill him if he steps out of line...... How he'd react to now being the one under surveillance. In the NCR surrender cut content, he has the confidence to have the Securitrons kind of sarcastically say his surrender was voluntary, but if everything you know is fake and the only audience is your enemy, do you still antagonize? Is he strong enough to deny the programmed need to be smug and right? Is he capable of realizing that his shortcomings were all created to make him a compelling character?
There are certain things I think he could discard easily enough. Certain backstory elements he could accept as being fictional, but what about him clawing his way to the top? His empire? I think he'd downplay them to the player's face, emphasize he knows they're not real, but deep down he'd believe them anyway.

all three of taylor’s outfits had these black leather straps on them last night, i loooovee the cohesiveness of the looks, but does it mean something???
The psychopathy of capitalism, characterized by profit maximization without regard for societal well-being, undermines cohesive social structures by prioritizing individual gain over collective welfare. This emphasis on competition and exploitation fosters a fragmented society where solidarity and mutual support are overshadowed by economic disparities and alienation.
