Working on that new writing blog rn. I should really be doing an assignment tho.

I don't really wanna get caught up in creating huge tags for specific characters and vibes this time around. I want to store snippets I haven't/won't post on AO3 like deleted scenes, early drafts, etc. I want to talk about themes. I really want to interact with other readers and writers. Fic recs other than my own, maybe. Probably a good place to post about opinions with regards to writing culture. It'll also be an official link between my two separate AO3 accounts that currently exist. If that causes drama I'll deal with it lmao, it's been a long time since I got in some good drama.

A lot of groomers use porn to groom…that doesn’t mean porn existing is the bad (there obviously is a lot of nuance to the talk about porn and safety and etc but you can say that about any topic and you can say it somewhere else). The person who groomed you is bad. The experiences around you that led to their control of your access to knowledge are the problem and that’s complicated. It’s a lot easier to say “all porn is bad, porn was used to groom me therefore bad”.

Groomers are creative as they are evil. You get rid of porn they’ll point to something else–the problem is groomers and lack of support networks. Again this issue is extremely complicated, but “ban this” won’t prevent grooming.

So I thought this was commonly known internet navigation (but apparently it might just be those of us who have been using the internet since the 90's who still know it). Or so it seems based on... a grumpy comment I got.

When you see an arrow like this:

It means you click it to expand out a hidden section.

It's an accordion section/menu! It's useful in web design to hide information that may be overwhelming under specific headers so people can only see what they need.

Here I'm using it for people who need the content warnings to be able to check, but for those who don't need them and don't want to be spoiled to just move right past without accidentally reading anything.

It's still the user's responsibility to click the arrow and read things as they need! But it is all warned. (And, yes, the all encompassing issues are already a tag on the fic, I'm just providing additonal warnings per chapter.)
