I’m going to join the board of directors where I volunteer a lot, which should give me a leg up in applications eventually.

I met my new boss in person for the first time last week and she gave me a good performance review, but the **** she reports to got to add in her little comments too, which were not good. I hate that woman so much.

Boss told me if I start interviewing elsewhere to just let her know so she can properly train the junior replacement. Why you’re not doing that already is a mystery, but ok.

Today we all got an org announcement email from the big boss, in which our part of the org was conveniently omitted from all the other changes. Which could mean nothing. Or it could be great news coming soon.

Slept on the couch so I could close the noise off in my bedroom as much as possible.

Got about 3 hours last night.

Maintenance didn’t show up until around 2pm to fix it. Immediately fell asleep once he left.

But the moment that I, an female individual contributor peon, assert myself in a polite way (literally, "no, thank you") with one of the mean girls, I'm sent to the principal's office and scolded for not respecting the queen bee.
