So it's pretty much established that each of the Love Trio™ has a secret they are trying to keep, and Clara has a few unexplained things about her that I think are actually inter-connected.

#1 of the questions that im pretty sure that the fandom has agreed on are her Wings™ and has been consistently foreshadowed in the manga.

But I don't see a lot of people talking about why her father is never shown, why he's always away.

I know this can also just be attributed to the "one parent syndrome" of anime BUT considering that a core theme of Clara's story/arc is family and how strong her bond is with them (as seen in the spin-off mafia AU manga) its worth noting the strong absence

My theory is that part of the reason why Clara's father is away is because of the wings, at least partly. I don't know exactly what's wrong with her wings (are they short? feathered? clipped?), but I know that the reveal will have some sort of impact in the story.

I have always wondered why Urara (the 2nd eldest) doesn't go to Babyls, although it might have been explained in canon, and I just didn't pay enough attention or forgot. Maybe he also has some alternate reason to be there, like his father.

There is also a possibility that someone in the family could be responsible for Claras wings situation. Be it an accident or her father's bloodline.

So much of the mystery is also because we know so little of Clara's family in general (the lore), and the manga will probably give some time to explore it later on, similar to how Soi, Kerolli, Jazz, and Lied have been explored. [idk if im tweaking but Garp, Agares and Caim, also have had their moments involving their family during the Harvest Festival Arc but i might be wrong]

A thing to also consider is why her family isn't as highly regarded as the rest of the demon families, considering how powerful their bloodline ability is. And the fact that they have their own territory so well protected that Sullivan himself thought it was safe enough to hide them there after the (Walter Park?) fiasco, where they had to lay low from the media.

MAYBE they are related to Shura (the flower deity that we see Baal sucking up to). This theory has its merits, noting the similar body type, general connection to creation, and similarities with an obsession with those who give them attention. I swear if Shura's canon colors are revealed and she's ALSO green I'm going to pat myself on the back.

MAYBE Clara's father is related to Shura's bloodline. This theory also explains why Clara's family isn't really part of the demon nobility despite their power and arguably notable status. Its because they belong to something entirely different or they were excommunicated because of their overtly deviant nature of because Clara's father had children with a demon

This is why the Qing Jing food is bland and simple.

It slips out on accident (during disciple days) at first, like freshly transmigrated SY is overwhelmed by these rowdy teenagers around him and the fact that he is ALSO a rowdy teenager now. He digs through his memory for ANYTHING to help cope with this new source of stress and remembers the educational baby videos his parents used to put on for his sister when she was born and he kinda just runs with that.

For some, like Liu Qingge, it’s unclear whether they should be offended or otherwise. For others, like Yue Qingyuan, they don’t quite know how to shut it down and have unconsciously incorporated it in their lives. For people like Shen Qingqiu, who finds it humorous when it happens to others but refuses to respond to Shen Yuan talking to him like that unless it’s a dire situation, it’s both a gift and a curse.

It’s funnier in disciple days because Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu could be fighting like cats and dogs on missions or something and SY’ll be forced to separate them (he can handle two disciples younger than him, he wrangles beasts for crying out loud) and he’s so irked when he releases the two he’s like.

“Why are we fighting? Fighting bad—come on, say it with me. Fighting—Ah, don’t look away. Eyes up here. Fighting, is, bad. That’s right, Fighting is baaaaad. Do you know what bad means??”

And SQQ is glaring daggers at him and LQG is just red in the face—probably from embarrassed fury. The two quickly learn that SY will never stop treating them like that as long as they keep fighting. Of course this means that they start avoiding one another when SY is near and develop a sort of reluctant truce whenever he’s around.

Pop: Trauma bonding is when you're bonding with someone over shared trauma or similar past experiences.

Actual: A trauma bond refers to a situation where someone develops strong feelings of sympathy, loyalty, dependence, and attachment towards their abuser.

Pop: Gaslighting is when someone lies to you, questions you, or disagrees over something with you over what happened.

Actual: Gaslighting is an abuse tactic that where you are manipulated to question your reality, memory, or sanity - not just a disagreement over what happened.

Pop: Being triggered means that something makes you uncomfortable or annoyed.

Actual: A trigger is something that causes a sudden increase in symptoms - like flashbacks in PTSD or compulsions in OCD. It's not just a source of general discomfort.

Pop: Intrusive thoughts are random impulses you might want to act on; e.g. wanting to something unexpected like dye your hair pink or eat cake for dinner.

Actual: Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, involuntary thoughts that go against your real values and desires. You don't want to act on them, and them coming true would be your worst nightmare. They can be very prominent and distressing in disorders like OCD and PTSD.
