I don't want to get too bitter cause I know (hope) this will change in coming seasons but these tags just underline my frustrations in making Moiraine the main character in the show.
ok so I swear i didnât came from that whitecloack subreddit:
. i adore the series and its cast but they made it pretty clear that the EF5 were not the protagonists of the adaptation
. rosamund pike is rosamund pike, she has the name and all the perks that comes with it but moiraine is not a main character in the books, sure she has her moments but come on, relaying the whole success of the series on her name is kinda lame (sheâs bound to leave it eventually)
. the EF5 have been treated so badly in this series, they have great actors who fit the book characters so well but they have to do the best they can with those poorly written scripts
. hate to say it but come on, rafe judkins has made it abundantly clear time and time again that egwene is his favorite character, i do like egwene in the books, and i think maddie is wonderful but dudes, sheâs not the main character
. âoh but rj said it was never about rand, it was about them allâ okay okay i agree with you but it was never just about egwene too and i think that is something a certain showrunner is ignoring

I do love the show but i donât really watch it as an adaptation of the novels, and i hate that âitâs a different turn of the wheelâ talk, no my dudes they just didnât know how to adapt this freakishly huge book series and are trying to do their best

but during the final chapters of oathbringer sheâs manifesting the illusions of veil and radiant to talk to her, sheâs not assuming those personalities so yeah maybe shallan is kinda schizophrenic or maybe iâm just reading it absolutely wrong but hey who am i to have some kind of personal opinion in this god forsaken app?

In case you didnât noticed iâm here to say i finally finished oathbringer, book 3 in the stormlight archive series, and my oh my do i have thoughts about it.
okay so for starters, i felt like the story dragged a bit too much, i get that thatâs sandersonâs style but man i was so fricking bored for half of the book.
now the parts i really enjoyed:
. the failed attempt to save kholinar (rip elhokar, youâll be missed)
.the whole shadesmar sequence was so well written, meeting adolinâs shardblade spren was a fun surprise
. kaladin not being able to swear the fourth ideal??? had me almost throwing my kindle out of a window, felt so bad for my boy kal đ
. dalinar âi am unityâ kholin, can i call you daddy?? because my man you made me feel things no one else did
. shallan, veil and radiant being the best dissociative identity disorder trio ever and holding off odiumâs army
. renarin youâre like a son to me, if anything happened to you i would off myself immediately
final considerations: itâs a five star book? yes, and i wonât lie, sanderson continues to amaze me with this freaking book series, that being said, to rythm of war i go
back to say that iâm alive and still reading oathbringer, uni has been kicking my ass these past few months.
I just read that whole wit/shallan scene, the one about shallan forgiving herself and my dudes that me tear up a little
the azure/kaladin dynamic is very interesting, she talks differently than the people of roshar, just like a certain blade master (iykyk)
I hope to finish it in the coming weeks so i can give you guys a proper review.

i finished part one of oathbringer and dudes, this is shaping up to be one of the greatest books iâve ever read.
still donât see why i should read edgedancer prior to this but hoping lift makes her appearance soon, but here are some of my thoughts and favorite parts so far..
. kaladin chapters being the shortest ones wasnât on my bingo card
. pattern screaming âno matingâ to shallan and adolin had me giggling like a child
. okay so dalinar is remembering his late wife, and his spren has nothing to do with it, weird but ok
. dalinar being an absolute prick when we was younger was on my bingo card but dudes it still sucks
. sanderson ending part one when shallan and jasnah are seconds away from being reunited, this man is a monster
. those kaladin and the parshmen chapters were so good, wished they were longer
. missing szeth, after the ending of wor and edgedancer i thought he would be more present in the story but he hasnât appeared yet
. i have absolute no clue how this book is going to end, but man so far iâm enjoying it so much
