just wanna say as someone who's Aboriginal that I think First Nations peoples have every right to be a little angry at white leftists (NOT Palestinians, people blaming Palestinians stfu) who ignored our anti-colonial movements for years but are now supporting the Free Palestine movement. If you, someone living in the US, Canada or Australia or Aotearoa, are serious about the liberation of Palestine then you NEED to be just as serious about justice and liberation for the First Nations peoples' who's stolen and colonised land YOU live on. If you're not serious about where YOU fit in the paradigm of anti-colonial work, fix it. Here's a good place to start: if you're a person living on occupied Indigenous lands, learn who's land it really is, and how you can help them as an ally.

Also? If you claim you're supporting the Free Palestine movement because you care about indigenous people's rights, that means you need to care about the rights of Jews to live in THEIR native land, too. You don't need to support Israel or ignore the oppressive actions of its government, but if you go around claiming Jews aren't REALLY indigenous to Judea or that they've somehow forfeited or aged out of their tie to the land, or let others in your movement do so unopposed, that's not upholding the principles of anti-colonialism either.

heat intolerance for disabled people causes difficulty every summer but honestly my heart goes out to every disabled person in the parts of the world most affected by global warming. it's not just confined to summer. the heat levels reached are seriously dangerous to abled people in these areas, nevermind disabled people who are more vulnerable

It's so blatantly racist, when talk of low birth rates come up here (In Norway, but I assume same in other european countries) the solution is never immigration or adoption. Immigration (from global south, not from white countries) is a problem that needs to be solved/stopped apparently, but we also need... More people to be born??? no piece of teen media has ever accurately depicted the quiet psychological warfare of bullying. bullies on TV are always dumb brutes and not the evil geniuses of emotional manipulation that they are in real life. being given a wedgie and having your lunch money stolen is nothing in comparison to a classmate quietly creating a taboo against speaking to you that they intend to enforce against all the other kids. it’s nothing like continuous cutting comments from people you thought were being nice to you. that way that the work of one kid can make you feel like every person on earth silently hates you and that you are dirty, disgusting, worthless, creepy and useless. that you can have friends but many of them will not speak to you at school for fear of the social consequences on their end. how that damage lasts in any social setting for the rest of your life
